We took the coat to the dry cleaner, we were warned that the buttons might come off, we were ready to sew them back on, but the coat was returned to us with broken buttons, all 8 buttons and all their fasteners were broken. If we had been warned, we would have cut them off ourselves and then sewed them on, but now look for where to get new, suitable ones.

I had my trousers painted because they had faded in the sun. When handing over, I asked how the paint would hold. I was told that they keep things in the paint for 4 hours. It is clear that a couple of washes will wash out the paint. But not so much that the trousers would take on their original (before painting) appearance. It was easier to buy paint and paint it yourself than to waste the money.
