strongly advise everyone to stay away from this hostel. The owner is a narcissist and a hypocrite who treats guests and volunteers with pure contempt. The atmosphere is hostile. When I asked a simple question about how to use the stove, he mocked me sarcastically. On the second day, I was in a rush and forgot to take off my shoes near the sink. Instead of a normal reminder, he started screaming at me and demanding I wash the floors. The worst part was when I tried to switch rooms because my bed was squeaky and broken. Instead of fixing the furniture, the owner insulted me in a very rude way, blaming the noise on my weight. This kind of fatphobia is disgusting and completely unprofessional. On top of that, he is an open racist. He constantly speaks with disrespect about guests and volunteers, specifically targeting Turks and Chinese people. This man should not be working in hospitality. In addition to the terrible service, the facilities are in poor condition. The water pressure in the shower is weak, and there is no ventilation, making the air feel stale. It is cold in the rooms, the beds squeak loudly, and some of the lockers do not even lock, which is a major safety concern. Of course, he will respond to this review and will make me look bad in any way, as he does with every bad review. But it's worth reading all his answers, which show his narcissistic personality, how much he feels superior to other people, and all questions will disappear. Save your money and your mental health - stay somewhere else.

A great hostel in Belgrade! Comfortable beds with curtains, clean bed linen. A very well-equipped kitchen with free coffee, tea and biscuits. Sometimes free cabbage soup is prepared for all guests, which is also a delicious and pleasant bonus. The staff is very good at cleanliness and constantly wash and clean everything. There is an entire floor dedicated to comfortable work or study. WiFi is good everywhere, and nothing ever freezes. Special events are held for the holidays, with stunning decorations and atmosphere. It is also interesting to chat with the owner of the hostel, he will always tell you a couple of interesting stories or tell you where to find something in the city. You can get to the center either on foot or just a couple of bus stops, along the way buying a bag of yogurt at Lidl, which is also a few steps from the hostel.

I am pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness: the linen is fresh, the showers are in order, there is no stuffiness in the rooms. The location is a cannon, everything is within walking distance. The hostel is a beautiful, 3-storey building located in a quiet area, close to public transport stops. Transportation in Belgrade is free, so you can easily and comfortably get anywhere. There are Russian-speaking administrators who will help and prompt you. There are tables and chairs in the private courtyard, where you can comfortably drink tea in the evening. 🙂 Of course, the kitchen is small, but we are not going to Belgrade to cook, but to taste Balkan cuisine in local cafes. And the kitchen is perfect for a snack. There is a great recreation and work area on the roof of the house. In general, there are a lot of advantages of this hostel, I can't even remember the minuses. I definitely recommend it to everyone!

So, maybe my review will seem bought, but I don't care, because this is probably one of the best hostels I've visited, in terms of price-quality ratio. Friendly staff, large areas, several floors with different zones, good Wi-Fi, a kitchen with everything you need, a coworking, a cinema (only I didn't look into it), pleasant bedding, which includes a towel for free, slippers for each guest - this all made it so that 2 days passed quite quickly. To be honest, I didn't have a great conversation and this time I preferred to have a quiet rest, so I didn't meet any excesses. Registration and onboarding (when they tell you what and how) were pretty quick and nice, so there's nothing to add. There is a paid laundry with drying, but I did not use them. What would you like to improve: 1. The toilet and shower are combined, so the floor may be wet after taking a shower. The staff cleans everything quite quickly and it was always clean, but the very fact of such a combined format limits, imho. 2. Hooks in storage boxes - shelves are quite disproportionate, so it is difficult to fit many things on one large shelf. Hooks could solve the problem. This is the most magnificent hostel you can find! Incredibly cool host Dima, wonderful volunteers, cozy, beautiful, always wonderful guests! There is space to work (I have video calls), it was very important for me. The hostel is thought out to the smallest detail, everything is done with love and soul. Order and cleanliness are perfectly maintained. Often the owner Dima treats homemade food and sweets, you feel at home! A cool kitchen where you can cook whatever your heart desires. Cool themed activities, and the most important thing is that there are not too many of them! The best part is that you get instant feedback, action and a respectful, friendly attitude to your request. I am ready to endlessly confess my love for Cabbage hostel, it's so good here. I will definitely come back here to my good friends!

Lived in this hostel twice, in September and October. The first time I stopped by literally for two nights, but extended my stay several times. This is a hostel, but there is a nuance. You get into a community that is ready to provide you with the most comfortable living conditions. Firstly, your right to rest is strictly protected, that is, from eleven in the evening until the morning there will be no noise in the common area. Secondly, if you don't want to walk around the city and see the sights, you can find entertainment to your liking here: from master classes to movie screenings in the evenings. Thirdly, life is very well furnished. Toilets and showers are in abundance, they are clean, there is always toilet paper. And yes, there are no queues. The guys hold themed evenings and even a barbecue on the roof. Now I am back in the hostel, and I am very glad that I found the perfect place to stay. By the way, if you want to stay here for a month, you will be offered very affordable conditions :) Welcome!
