We kindly join the 5-star rating. I think that in our cold Ufa I will dream about local delicious breakfasts for a couple of weeks. Many thanks to the hotel team for keeping everything clean, tidy and friendly. I got a room with a sea view and for some ridiculous money (3 nights for two people came out at 10 thousand and a half), with breakfast included. Everything you need is inside, and you've never even heard of any neighbors. There is access to the sea and a relatively long strip of beach for swimming. There is a heated swimming pool, which was refilled and cleaned when we were there. However, we never got into it, because with our long walks we simply did not coincide with his work schedule, and a couple of hours before closing he was busy with visitors to the hammam (( it's a pity that it's not around the clock, but this is probably the only negative. Separately, I would like to note the cool location of the hotel: the very beginning of old Gagra, almost zero people, the road is far from the hotel, an old park and a river flowing out of the gorge are in order nearby (you can walk there separately and get a lot of impressions from waterfalls and rolling hills), across the street is the current Abaata railway station, which you can both arrive and leave it in the early morning or evening before the Imereti resort. The Oldenburg restaurant with its brewery is just a stone's throw away, you can read about it separately, we didn't eat, but we took two very tasty beers with us. The old pier, the Seaside Park, the Prince of Oldenburg Palace and several other notable old abandoned buildings such as the Skala boarding house with its abandoned cable car are 500 m away... In general, at the end of the comment, I come to the conclusion that we are just a little more active in order to keep up with using the pool on schedule. Thank you so much again, we didn't have time to arrive, and I want to come back to you again. I don't often praise something or someone, but here it's absolutely necessary.

I studied all the reviews and photos for a long time before an important trip, I want to summarize: 1. The sea view is truly mesmerizing. Yes, and to the mountains too 2. The design of the entrance group, foyer, rooms - everything is neat and beautiful 3. The reception and accommodation service and lobby are pleasant, loyal, competent professionals in their field 4. The restaurant staff is really not very friendly and hospitable, but when you are ready for it, it does not cause inconvenience. 5. The pool is difficult to use, the hammam is set up somehow incorrectly, the sauna is on fire 6. The last thing you want to do in a 4-star hotel is tuck a blanket into a duvet cover, but you don't have a choice. 7. The food is clear and delicious, there were no poisoning, you just need to monitor your culture of eating and drinking. You can turn a blind eye to everything by paying a super-loyal price out of season for such pleasant fare conditions. Of course, this is unacceptable in summer. In general, despite the nuances, the impressions are the most pleasant, I wish you success and prosperity, although I'm sure you're rocking anyway)

Being a travel agent, I went to see this hotel specifically in order to have a clear idea of living in it) So my detailed review: Positive: - the location of the hotel is great (I really love Old Gagra) and the location is perfect for me, the square with transport, shops, canteen, cafe and some attractions are a 4-minute walk away! The beach is 10 steps away from the hotel! - its own beach and the availability of sun beds and umbrellas (free of charge) - the rooms are clean and new, the views from the balconies are gorgeous on both sides! The plumbing is excellent, nothing rattles, does not leak, does not hum) - food, there is a separate bow to the chef, who values his work very much! There is a choice, everything is fresh and delicious, but as in many hotels, food can come in (if you stay more than 5 nights) but you can always go to a cafe or an apacha and diversify your menu. The chef's duck is divine)) - all the hotel staff are friendly and kind, they will always prompt and help with questions. - alcohol: the wine is normal, I don't drink chacha (but many men have and everyone is healthy), I would like to add beer, at least for sale - there is animation for children and adults during the season, it is very nice that there is something to keep the children busy. Now about the minor drawbacks (it's not critical if you haven't vacationed in luxury hotels in expensive countries, but I'll write anyway) - linen change on request (not all tourists ask, so they can stay for the entire stay with only linen and a towel) - the pool is cool in January (if you use the sauna, it's normal, but I just wanted to swim in the afternoon, but not comme il faut, cool) - the sauna and hammam work from 18 to 20, just during dinner, I would like to increase the time (at least by an hour) - sweets and confectionery on the buffet ... serving me did not go beyond the word at all! Of course, there is something to drink coffee with, but in a country where they bake wonderful cakes, baklava and pastries, serve 3 cookies and 3 pieces of cake in one plate ... it looks like they collected the leftovers from the festive table and put them in the kitchen)) I'm not a fan of sweets, but it can be a disappointment for someone. - and the biggest disadvantage for me is the lack of boiled (in Turkey) coffee! Instant coffee in the land of the soul is not my story at all) The overall rating of the hotel is 5, uncritical cons (for me), but for many they can affect the overall impression of the holiday, and I want people to return only with positive emotions! I had a 100% rest and of course I will recommend the hotel to my tourists, but warning about small nuances) I wish the hotel and its staff not to stop developing and it only gets better!
