It's a wonderful place. We go on a cruise there every year. Music, crystal clear water, delicious food, guided tour, you can swim and slide down the slide. Just fine

We turned out to be one of those few reckless daredevils who dare to reach the Blue Lagoon (as someone's pink dream) by land - along the rocky off–road along the coast from the town of Polis. This was the final destination of our auto-buggy trip from Paphos to Akamas. With our eyes "wide closed", swallowing dust, we were happily impressed all day, and here we were rewarded with warm transparent water that changed color depending on the light, a smooth sandy bottom and contrasting black-pebble (volcanic?) the beach. More precisely, the place where we managed to descend along the ledges of the rocky shore. Swimming with a mask among the rocks, washing away road dust and fatigue, was a real pleasure.  It was late afternoon, there were few people: there were only a few boats in the lagoon, and on the high shore there was one jeep and our buggy. But then a boat crowded with Russian tourists sailed into the bay, from which bathers poured into the water, accompanied by a shrill female voice from a megaphone: "It's shallow in the lagoon, but don't sail far, watch the time, we won't wait for anyone!" It's good that by this point we had already gone ashore and changed clothes, getting ready on the way back to Paphos and avoiding elbowing with compatriots in the coastal waters of the wonderful Blue Lagoon
