Do you know that strange feeling when people look at you? Now imagine that everyone is looking at you at once. The Bayon Temple left a very strong impression. It's some kind of stone maze frozen in eternity. Wherever you turn your head, a giant face looks at you from every corner, from every tower. Peaceful, mysterious, with that subtle Angkor smile. They say there are more than two hundred of them here. And each face has its own character. At some point, the line is blurred: it seems that it is not you who have come to look at the ancient ruins, but they are watching you, assessing your fuss. Up close, these towers look like a pile of stones, but once you move away, they turn into faces. A real optical attraction from the 12th century. The bas-reliefs on the lower levels are just a three-dimensional comic book in stone about the life and legends of the Khmer people. There are wars, fishing, and even how someone is looking for lice. Life and history as it is. Catch the moment when the sun starts to set. The shadows fall so that the faces come to life. It gets a little creepy, but it's impossible to pull away. It's a very unusual and emotional place.

I recently visited Bayon Temple, and it was a real discovery! This is an amazing place filled with history and atmosphere. The architecture of the temple with its famous Buddha faces is simply amazing — every corner seems alive and full of mysteries. Walking through the temple complexes was a real pleasure. The magnificent carved details and majestic towers create a unique atmosphere, and the numerous corridors and terraces allow you to immerse yourself in the history of the Khmer civilization. I especially remember the moments when I stopped to look at the Buddha's faces, which look in different directions — it's really fascinating! The staff is very friendly and ready to help with any questions. I recommend taking a guided tour to learn more about the significance and history of this place. If you are in Cambodia, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Bayon Temple. This is a place that leaves deep impressions and makes you think about the greatness of the past. I will definitely come back here again!

Bayon Temple Bayon Temple was built at the junction of the XII and XIII centuries. Despite the fact that Bayon was built in the spirit of Buddhism, there are obvious features of Hinduism in it. The main highlight of the temple is the towers, on which stone faces are carved. Four faces were carved on each tower. The architects arranged them so that they look in different directions of the world. Another interesting fact is that faces change their mood during the day. It's all the fault of the light that falls on them from different angles. As a result, if you watch them all day, they can be both kind and evil. From time to time they laugh, then they get sad. Sometimes they even scare tourists walking around the temple.
