Everything you need for a comfortable stay in an economy hotel. A bed, a wardrobe, a bedside table and a table with a chair, a kettle, a minibar without alcohol, air conditioning, a bathroom, windows facing the street, it's a little noisy if you open the window. The outlets are all working, but they won't work when you leave the room because the key card turns off all electricity when it's not in the room. There is a laundry room for a separate price. Daily cleaning, with replacement of towels, shampoos, etc. Very convenient location, the metro is just 30 steps around the corner. On the other side is the main tourist street Istiklal, where there are many bars and shops and a tram to Taksim. It is also a 5-minute walk from Galata Tower, breakfast cafes, vintage shops, supermarkets, and a few more minutes down the street from Galata Bridge and Galata Port, where there is an exchange office with a very good exchange rate (preferably only in the thick of the grand bazaar, but the difference is not great). There are also fish restaurants and fast food. In general, this is an ideal location. Keep in mind that it is located on a mountain, so in the evening it is better to return from Taksim on foot.

Of the advantages: - location - daily cleaning and change of towels - warmth - cozy - there is a kettle and a fridge in the room - blackout curtains - proximity to the metro, Istiklal and Galata Tower, but there is no rush of the center. Of the cons: - it smells like cigarettes, because some of the customers are too lazy to go outside, the room has a slight smell of cigarettes - disposable cups in the rooms (due to hygiene, the legacy of the Covid period, apparently) - sometimes passing cars honk their horns. As it is, we are generally satisfied with the hotel.

A great hotel to spend the night between sightseeing trips, close to Taksim Square, 15 minutes on foot, Istiklal, Galata Tower with bridge, everything nearby, Two minutes to Shishkhane metro station. But... There is no elevator, and the stairs to the top are steep. For those with luggage, it's worth thinking carefully if there is a room on 3-4 floors. Clear. They clean up if you leave the key at the reception. But you need to understand that the price is not for a 5* hotel, so the hotel is not new and the air conditioner was working. We had a room on the third floor, with a view of the ruined house, but the man was unassuming. By transport from/to the airport: the cheapest way to get by metro is about one hundred liras in September of the 25th year. You can use a debit card to pay The Havaist shuttle from platform 16 departs according to schedule to Taksim Square for 275 lira, you can pay with an ATM card, debit (of course, foreign) card to the driver. It takes 20 minutes on foot to get to the hotel, you can go down to the subway and drive one stop (40 lira) The schedule needs to be checked, it's changing. Taxi is about 30 euros/dollar, transfer from the hotel is 50 euros. About eating... In Istanbul, as in the whole of Turkey, there are no problems with this, but it is somehow expensive, especially in tourist places. Yes. And I forgot to mention the friendliness of the staff, they will prompt you, tell you what you are interested in.
