A delightful monument. Bravo to the creators. Very few sculptors, especially modern ones, can convey emotions in bronze in this way. There is no pomposity, bravura. There are no loud emotions. A piercing high sadness and an inescapable longing for the abandoned homeland, to which the poet could not return.

In the park on the City Wall there is a wonderful monument to the romantic poet A.Mickiewicz. He left Belarus at 25, and here the classic of Polish and Belarusian literature is depicted as a mature man who, years later, finally returned to his native penates. He seems to be resting in the shade of the trees of a picturesque park with those who are there.

According to a literary critic of the time, According to Ksenofon Polevoy, A. S. Pushkin treated Mickiewicz with the greatest respect. The great Russian poet, who usually dominated the literary circle himself, was extremely modest in the presence of Mickiewicz, and even turned to Mickiewicz, wanting to hear his approval, as he considered Adam Mickiewicz to be more educated and learned. A great monument to the poet, a nice park.
