An amazing park showcasing a wide variety of dendrological treasures from around the world, along with animals and birds. A must-visit not only for plant and wildlife enthusiasts, but for anyone who enjoys nature and unique landscapes. Best of all — admission is completely free.

This place is just incredible! The arboretum left an amazing impression. It feels like you're in a fairy tale: the trees are incredibly beautiful, every corner is thought out. You can wander here all day and discover something new every time, and the views make you forget about time. There are a lot of exotic birds in this park. And do you know what makes you especially happy? Admission is absolutely free, as well as convenient parking. There are clean toilets, fountains with drinking water, and swing benches allow you to relax with maximum comfort. Thank you so much for taking such care of people! A special low bow to the organizer of this heavenly place, Bidzina Ivanishvili. May God grant you health, strength and prosperity for giving us such beauty!

Great place! The Shekvetili Arboretum Park is a botanical reserve opened in 2020 on an area of about 60 hectares. More than 1,000 plant species from all over the world are collected here, including century-old trees, endemics of Georgia, baobabs and bamboo groves. The park also has a lake and a mini zoo, home to exotic birds (flamingos, pelicans) and animals (lemurs, peacocks). The park was created at the expense of Bidzina Ivanishvili, and is free for all visitors.

Beautiful park! It was nice to walk through the park, see the tall rare trees, bamboo grove, flowers. Animals and birds live in aviaries in the park, which were very friendly to visitors. Everything is clean, tidy, there is a free toilet, water fountains. It took us about 3 hours for a leisurely walk through the park. Admission is free

There is an arboretum not far from Kobuleti. Admission to the park is free. There are many different plants and trees planted in it, there is a pond where waterfowl live, there are also flamingos. There is a mini zoo with parrots, lemurs, peacocks, cranes and storks. I recommend visiting the park, you will have a great pleasure.

It's a great place. It's worth going. It's beautiful, clean, and the air is special. We had a good time. Be careful: you can not smoke on the territory, walk on the lawns. There are toilets inside, free of charge. The pointers are also installed. If necessary, take a snack and water with you, they don't sell anything inside, I highly recommend it from the outside (what is the quality of the food, what is the attitude... Unfortunately, this is the case when there are no prices in the cafe (across the street from the park) and you, as a tourist, will be told the price is three times more expensive..unfortunately, I consider this disrespectful)..This has nothing to do with the arboretum itself. He's beautiful.

An incomparable place! If you want to inhale the aromas of eucalyptus, magnolia, gardenia, look at the centuries-old exotic trees of different countries, plunge into the wonderful atmosphere of a nature reserve, then you need to visit this place. There is also someone to watch for bird and animal lovers! I recommend it!

Our family came to the park in the village of Shekvitili from Cape Verde by taxi (50 GEL). The entrance (there is only one) to the park is located next to the Kobuleti-Poti highway. There is a parking lot at the entrance, a toilet, a shop and a restaurant across the street. In summer, the park is open from 10:00 to 19:00 (you can enter an hour before closing). Admission is free. The weekend is Monday and Thursday. We arrived on Saturday. There's a cluster of cars at the entrance. Lots of visitors. There are many families with children. There is a map of the park posted at the entrance, and free booklets in the pockets of the stand, which also have a map of the park. We took the last such booklet, it turned out to be in Georgian, but the icons on the diagram are clear, and we constantly used it. On the way, other guests asked us more than once where we got such a booklet. The park is large and square in shape. The entrance to the park is in its southeastern corner. There is a lake in the center of the park, 300 meters from the entrance. Along the way, there are information tables in Georgian and English. The lake is fenced with a net around and above. The grandchildren also saw the wires, who knows if they are energized. There are pink flamingos and storks in the lake, but they are very far away. I could use binoculars or a spyglass to get a better look at them. Across the lake to the left is a private area, to the right is a long alley of exotic bamboo species. And then there is an alley of different types of giant trees (magnolias, tulip trees, Brazilian araucaria, sequoias, cypresses). The history of these rarities is interesting, which is inextricably linked with the history of the creation of the park itself. The park is privately owned. It was created in 2016, when the most famous Georgian billionaire and former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. I decided to build a villa with a park on the Black Sea coast. Giant trees were dug up all over Georgia and transported along with a huge clod of earth by sea and overland in an upright position. A total of 43 rare giant trees were excavated. There are interesting photos of their transportation next to the imported trees (as well as in the booklet). Since the trees were transported large, not all of them took root well, some of them with supports or stretched wire. But other trees make a good impression. From this side, where the trees are, the lake is better visible from the high shore. There is a gazebo (observation deck) with benches where you can sit and rest. The communication towers, covered with ivy almost to the top, were amused. Everything is fenced off on this side of the lake, too, and you can't walk on the grass, only along the paths. But many violate in order to get closer. The loudspeaker is often turned on, it is possible that violators are being scolded, judging by the tone, but in Georgian, so at least half of the visitors do not understand what they are talking about. We walked along this side of the lake and turned left to the cages with parrots and lemurs, which live in large aviaries. There is a toilet in this corner (clean, free). We walked past the parrots almost to the seashore (the exit is closed, apparently a service one). Here, in the shade, overlooking the sea, there is a large gazebo for relaxing and having a snack. We always take a snack for the kids. Moreover, there are no kiosks or cafes in the park (they are only at the entrance). But there are drinking fountains, they were indicated on the diagram in the booklet. After eating, we moved on. On the way back, we walked over a beautiful arched bridge that overlooks the lake and a large swing. We skirted the lake and went to the exit on the other side of the lake. Here, large birds live in large aviaries: herons, peacocks (there is even a white peacock), cranes. The children watched with interest as the papa Daurian crane guarded their mother and children. He tried to peck us through the net. Completed the circular route. At the exit, local taxi drivers attacked with an offer to take them to the beach. The nearest beach is just over 1.5 km away. But we refused. First we had lunch at the restaurant opposite, and then we walked to the beach. In general, despite the restrictions (but it is still a private area), the park left a good impression. It's clean, shady, well-groomed, and everything is free. There is the most necessary infrastructure (drinking fountains, toilets, gazebos for snacks and relaxation, benches, information stands). I liked that smoking is prohibited. It's just a pity that there are no telescopes to see the flamingos on the lake.

It's a very beautiful park and it's free. It is easy to get there by minibus from Kobuleti. There are many animals that you can look at up close. Flamingos are only very far away, on their own island. The trees are of different types, large and majestic — very beautiful. It's nice to walk with your family.

This place turned out to be incredibly atmospheric even in rainy weather. Walking among these giant trees was a real pleasure and a real rest for the soul. We were completely delighted with how harmoniously nature and space for walking are combined here. Despite the precipitation, we managed to have a great time and take a lot of beautiful shots. Such a visit definitely charges with tranquility and gives a lot of pleasant impressions.

Pay attention to the working days, it may not work on weekdays (like Mon and Thu), it is written in Yandex, but not in Google. I liked everything very much, there is parking, there is a lot to walk, it's better for kids to bring transport. It's an interesting place and admission is free. I'm not sure if it's possible to feed animals, but lemurs ate cherries with pleasure, and there were also deer who would also like something delicious :)

A picturesque place with a lake and flocks of rare birds. Huge trees, from different continents - even a small zoo. The only thing that annoys is the cameras at every step - immediately shouting back to the track is like a walk in the zone. It is also sad that there is no access to the sea.

There is a mini zoo with parrots and lemurs, everything is very neat, the birds are well-groomed. There's a deer pen, and they're beautiful. Huge trees were brought to the park, and the transportation method is shown in the photo. Very beautiful. There is a small parking lot at the entrance (I don't know about the payment). It's a great place and surprisingly, admission is free. The park territory is very large. We were limited in time and went through everything nearby. Most of all, I liked the pond with flamingos (the only thing is that everything is fenced with a high net, and the island with birds is quite far from it) and the century-old trees along the hiking trails. A very cozy place for a leisurely stroll. Of course, there were a lot of people along the way.

A stunning arboretum, a large territory, cool natural areas with trees brought by ships. There are many places where you can sit down to relax, go to the shore (but the beach itself is closed behind a fence). There are many beautiful and well-groomed birds (but still, birds are better off in the wild, not in cages). I've been here five times already, and the best time to visit is the end of spring, when the greenery is very rich and there aren't many people. This does not apply to the arboretum itself, but I especially strongly condemn the "people" at the entrance to the park who earn money from photos with a monkey and a parrot!!! (please don't encourage their inhumane business)

Shekvetili Arboretum Park. The park was built at the expense of Georgian oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili. The construction lasted 4 years, starting in 2016, trees from the regions of Georgia were brought here, some plants and birds from other countries. The official opening took place on July 15, 2020. The park contains about 200 trees of unique species such as magnolias, Brazilian araucarias, tulip trees, cypresses, sequoias, ginkgo. There is a large bamboo grove. Cactus and Succulent Garden — plants from America and Africa, adapted to local conditions. A rose garden is a riot of colors and scents during the rose blossom season. The rhododendron garden is especially beautiful in spring, when bright flowers cover the shrubs. Many trees are held in an upright position by a system of steel cables and tripwires so that the weather cannot damage them. The park features exotic birds and animals. Flocks of pink flamingos, black storks, ducks, pelicans, marabou, white and black swans, and herons live on the lake; toucans, hyacinth macaws, peacocks, and lemurs live in special enclosures. There are 58 bird species in total, many of which are listed in the IUCN International Red List. There is no cafe on site, but there are drinking fountains and toilets. At least somewhere in Georgia smoking is prohibited - it is necessary to extend this rule to the whole of Georgia, tourists will immediately become much more numerous. Working hours in summer are from 10:00 to 19:00; in spring and autumn from 10:00 to 18:00; in winter, from 11:00 to 17:00. The weekend is Monday and Thursday. The entrance closes an hour before the end of work. Admission is free, there are almost always a very large number of people on weekends, if you want a chamber environment, weekdays are your option. Set aside about three hours for a leisurely walk. Bring water, a camera and a good mood. Lemurs are very friendly, if you don't scare them, then they come close to get to know you.
