Please be careful when paying in cash. Our bill was 4660 RSD, and we gave three 2000 RSD bills (6000 total). However, the waiter returned and claimed that one of the bills was only 200. At the time, we didn’t argue and added more, but later at the hotel we counted our remaining money and realized the mistake was likely not on our side. We were a bit relaxed and trusted the waiter, which was unfortunate. We strongly advise all guests: always count your cash clearly and ask the staff to count it in front of you. Our experience was disappointing — especially with the male waiter serving in the garden area.

This is not the first time in this institution. When we arrive in Belgrade and happen to be nearby, we stop by. The dishes are always delicious, the portions are large, and the service is fast. The prices are not low, but this is one of the oldest establishments in Belgrade and the dishes here are traditional Serbian cuisine according to old recipes. Thanks to the cook, the host and the waiters!

One of the old local restaurants. We were advised by 2 local guides. We decided to go out for dinner on Christmas Day, when a lot of things weren't working, but they were. The pleskovica is delicious and big, the plum raki is good, and so is the local beer. Very tasty aivar with homemade bread. But I didn't like the monastery soup (vegetable) - it was kind of tasteless. The staff is polite, but not too hasty, as it seems, and everywhere in Serbia)

A cozy, atmospheric place with traditional cuisine, music and good raki. They don't cook after 9, but some hot dishes are/remain. The stools and chairs in the main hall are very low. Authentic, but not everyone will be comfortable.

We have been to this cafe twice, everything was very pleasant. Tea is served with lemon and honey, very tasty. I liked the chowder (it's hard to call it soup), I really wanted liquid and hot) we took cold cuts for two, a very large portion, cradles and sausages a little salty, in my opinion. The cheese salad went off with a bang. I'm a fan of legumes, I took the beans. A very unusual combination of beans and cabbage, it's a pity that the dish was barely warm, I love it from the heat. The cabbage rolls also tasted unusual, as they were not fresh cabbage, but sour (soaked in something). It was delicious with mashed potatoes. The grilled breast was unsalted and juicy, you can season it according to your taste preference. Friendly staff. Inside, like going to a cafe, there is a cozy courtyard with tables, i.e. you can sit on the veranda with a view of the cathedral, inside and in the courtyard. I recommend this place, by the way, it has existed for a long time and continues to delight the citizens and guests of the city with its national cuisine)

We went to this cafe to drink coffee. We were served by a very kind elderly man. The furniture inside is antique, made of natural wood. Serbian coffee is very similar to Turkish coffee. 😉

We were here for dinner. Delicious pleskavitsa, just wow cabbage rolls. The vegetable salad is sad, even the cheese didn't save it. The atmosphere is pleasant, but there is smoking inside.

Compared to other kafanas, it is not very tasty. Annoying waiters who recommend the most expensive dishes. Poor selection of wines and raki. Over-dried schnitzel...

Small, simple, with traditional food. To get acquainted with the kitchen, we took a special. mix - everything is delicious, I liked it. After the visit, I read that tea for Serbs is a drink for the sick, so the bewildered and sympathetic look of the waiter became clear. In general, do not take tea, even if you are frozen, drink wine (otherwise this will just be a bag in a glass, and a bag with honey to it, but thanks for the lemon). The staff is good, the service is fast. The only thing that spoiled the impression was the trouble with ventilation, thanks to the mercilessly smoking neighboring table, she came out of there as from a disco of the 90s, smelling also the kitchen as if she had been cooking it all herself all day.

The portions are large, the salads are delicious, they put a lot of Feta cheese. I liked the French fries too. Soups are still not a Serbian dish, I do not advise eating them anywhere. Otherwise, the place is top, the prices are pleasant. If you are in Belgrade, it is definitely worth a visit)

I stopped by for lunch. One waitress for the whole establishment is running around in a rush. Soup 500 d, hot 1100 d and more, about the same as everywhere else in the center. We'll have to look for the toilet, it's in the courtyard.

Cozy cafe, national cuisine, everything is on the level! St. Michael's Cathedral is nearby. We were on Sunday, and the wedding ceremony was just over in the temple, which was traditionally celebrated with the accompaniment of Serbian musicians. In a word, Serbian music, food, and homemade wine (fine wine, we tried white and pink), Everything is wonderful!

Every time in Belgrade, you must come here, although the quality has become a little worse. There is no previously favorite section of "sacha" dishes, but overall everything is great. Pleasant experienced waiters, good homemade wine. This time we tried two new dishes for ourselves. Chicken liver in bacon and sarma (cabbage rolls in Serbian). Very good homemade wine and definitely "domacha Kava" in Turks.

We decided to visit it as the oldest institution. We were counting on delicious food according to the reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Chorba is not what it should be, some kind of body bag. Sarma cabbage rolls in Serbian, to be honest, are not very tasty. And everything is very expensive. I don't recommend it. If you go to the coffee shop a little further from the center, it is much cheaper and tastier.

For those who want to see how it was before to eat - you are here. Reproductions on the walls with views of the past, inventory ... I can hear the salad being chopped behind the wall. The level of cleanliness is sufficient, but it could have been higher, it seems that the dust in some places has also been protected since that time. But it's interesting. The garden, alas, was closed. The service on Tuesday with a small number of visitors is "forgetful", but polite. There is a lot of food, but not all is smooth. Something bland and obviously pickled, and something good, something overcooked. And it's all in one dish.

Great restaurant, great staff. The menu is excellent, especially the shop salad and the most gorgeous pleskavica. I've eaten a lot in Belgrade, but it's especially delicious here. A restaurant with a history that has been owned by the same family for several centuries. I highly recommend trying Serbian cuisine here....
