Not worthy its price. Not an interesting place for adults. Went here for a date and did not have much to do. Entrance fee is high and the restaurants inside are not good.
The place has a cozy and welcoming vibe, perfect if you want to experience authentic Armenian cuisine. The live Armenian music adds to the atmosphere.
The food is tasty, though the portion for the chicken Khorovats was smaller than expected. It’s not the best spot for a romantic date, but it’s a great choice for a casual gathering with family or friends.
Not bad. The hotel is decent, though I would describe it as moderate overall and slightly overpriced for the experience offered.
One notable drawback is the pool area, which is located outside the main hotel building. This setup can be highly inconvenient, especially during the winter months, so it’s worth keeping in mind if you plan to visit during colder seasons.
Additionally, the buffet has a limited selection, with relatively few options available for both breakfast and dinner.
That said, the hotel remains one of the more preferable options among others in the area.
Our experience at 88 Spa & Resort Hotel left much to be desired, especially considering the high price.
Location: The hotel is perched on a hill, making it very inconvenient for tourists wanting to explore Tsakhkadzor. It’s far from the city center and main attractions, which makes accessing popular spots quite difficult. For anyone hoping to sightsee, this is not an ideal location.
Facilities & Amenities: We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, only to be informed upon arrival that it would be closed for cleaning during our stay. This was disappointing, as the pool was a major factor in our booking decision. Additionally, we expected a buffet dinner (as advertised in the price), but were instead served fixed dishes due to the low number of guests. This felt misleading, as we had paid for a full buffet experience.
Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable. If you’re planning to work remotely or need to stay connected, this will likely be a frustration. Completing any online tasks was nearly impossible due to the poor connection.
Environment: Another drawback was the sports bar experience. When we went to use the tennis table, we found the lounge filled with people smoking indoors, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere and led us to leave quickly.
On the positive side, the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with high-quality beds that made for a restful night’s sleep. The cafeteria staff were also exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding a nice touch to an otherwise disappointing stay.
Overall, the hotel does not justify its price. While the room quality and staff service were commendable, the inconveniences and lack of promised amenities make it hard to recommend.
Aghveran Ararat Hotel is the perfect escape for families looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat. The location is incredible, nestled right in the mountains, and we had the pleasure of staying here in October when the hills and mountains were beautifully lush and green. Watching the seasons shift was simply magical.
The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The service is top-notch, and the food exceeded our expectations. I’m usually very selective with food, but here, I found an excellent variety—from delicious soups and warm dishes to snacks and heavenly desserts. It felt like they had something for everyone!
The staff truly went above and beyond. They were attentive, well-trained, and even offered us a special discount on dinner when we extended our stay. This thoughtful gesture really made us feel valued and certainly won our loyalty—we’ll definitely be returning.
For families with kids, this hotel is ideal. Everything was of high quality and absolutely worth the price. If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain retreat with outstanding service, Ararat Aghveran Hotel is the perfect choice.
This place is a classic case of "Instagram vs. Reality." The location is pretty inconvenient, and the entry area isn't great. They have just one big hall, so if you're planning an event with under 30 people, you might want to look elsewhere.
