The sculpture "Architect" was officially opened in 2007 on Independence Day and is located at the exit from Voynilovich Square to Independence Square. The Architect is the creation of the Belarusian sculptor Vladimir Zhbanov. His other famous sculptures in Minsk are "Lady with a dog", "Horse", "Photographer" at the Komarovsky market, "Carriage" at the Town Hall, "Girl with an umbrella", "Stranger" in Mikhailovsky Square, and so on. As for the "Architect", the sculpture embodies the idea of the architectural development of Minsk: from a wooden castle to a monumental opera and ballet theater building. In addition to the cognitive value, the sculpture is simply nice to be photographed. )))) If you're around, don't pass by. The sculpture is worth it. )))
The monument was erected according to the plan of sculptor Vladimir Zhbanov in 2007. The 3-meter-tall figure of the architect leans over the most famous and familiar places in Minsk: an ancient castle with wooden gates, from which the history of the city's construction and development originates... The architect has projects and drawings of future buildings at hand, which indicates that Minsk does not stand still and is enriched with new buildings and structures every year. Do not pass by...
