After walking around the city, my expectations were confirmed.In my opinion, it's time to change something, and Ilyich on the square is quite enough for the city. You need to look to the future, but it feels like you're getting out of a time machine, not a train. Make a modern renovation, as they say in the comments below-the train station is the face of the city! Only now it's already very old.

Gomel is a clean city . The station is clean, the bins are constantly cleaned. I saw how the paving stones were washed with a brush with water near the urns and benches. A luggage locker costs 2 Belarusian rubles (60 Russian rubles) and if I understood correctly, it's for a day. But in St. Petersburg 500 rubles for 6 hours, and in Moscow 600 rubles.

It so happened that during my three visits to Gomel, I have never been to the railway station building. But in July, I saw a video of the Minsk guide Natalia Senkevich and decided that next time I would start a walk around Gomel with an inspection of this particular building. I really liked the inside. And the combination of colors, and a large bronze chandelier, and stained glass windows, and a beautiful staircase leading to the second floor, and Lenin pointing to the exit. It's clean and bright here. By the way, in 2003 the Gomel railway station building was included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus.
