I liked the train station. And the building is beautiful and everything inside is very clean and beautiful. There is a cafe in the station building called "batski culinary shop". You can eat tasty and inexpensive food, not only culinary products. I had a chance to have lunch. I liked it, it was delicious, somehow homely, a large selection of dishes, a pleasant interior. You can buy flowers, two flower stands, read something on the road, you could not buy anything, there is practically nothing. I was confused by the lack of trash cans in the building, I had to go outside to throw out a piece of paper. Toilets are a bit far away, not in the building. Paid. Visit 1 rub. There are categories who will pass for free, but disabled people of 2 gr do not have such a privilege, which surprised me. Although, maybe now there is such an order in the whole of Belarus?

The station building is always clean and tidy, given the possibility of online tickets, we do not encounter queues. There is a cafe on the territory, a polespech kiosk, kiosks with fresh flowers, a pharmacy and a hairdresser , two KIOSK ATMs ,. There is a large waiting room on the second floor. The only drawback is the lack of parking spaces for cars on the forecourt - if you visit or meet someone, parking is a whole problem)

Everything is very good-clean, calm, but there is a big BUT!When we left Gomel, we had time before the train and decided to take a walk! The storage room can be reached from the street by ramps, although there is a small staircase in front of the storage room without a ramp-this is the first obstacle! But the main ambush is ahead!!!We were leaving platform N5 and had to climb three stairs without a ramp from the luggage room!!!The coolest one was on the platform itself!!!This is a terrible dream of an elderly woman with a bad back!It's inhumane to treat people in sanatoriums, and then make them carry a suitcase up the stairs.Fix the situation and the review will be perfect!!

Our train station is a model of cleanliness and order. Convenient location of the ticket offices. There are cafes and waiting areas. Parking is almost never a problem on the ring near the train station, but boarding and disembarking passengers for taxis is inconveniently organized in autumn. Everywhere along the station there are signs on the front forbidding stopping and parking. If we had organized a pocket for a taxi (and the location allows) it would be much more convenient.

There are bus and trolleybus stops nearby, there is a place to change currency or withdraw money from an ATM. Two main streets approach the station - Lenin Avenue and Pobedy Avenue (Peremogi). One drawback is a very small automatic luggage storage. There are very few cells, For a suitcase of medium or larger size there are only 5-6 cells that are constantly naturally occupied. If you come with your things and want to walk to the train in Gomel, there are problems, there is nowhere to leave your things.

A typical railway station of the Soviet Union. I traveled around the country a lot in those years, and I even felt a certain nostalgia here. As it is, it's light, warm, clean, there are places to wait, there is a toilet, there is a buffet too. I put 4 stars because there is only one ramp (to the left of the entrance, if you look at the train station), and that is inconvenient. And there is no ramp from the waiting room, and there is no right-hand passage either. Passengers who don't know this are dragging their suitcases and strollers up the stairs.

I think that many people have come across the fact that in most of them there are no ramps for rolling luggage - you need to strain your hands to lift a suitcase (a bag on wheels) up the stairs... Only in one place-the exit to the square -there are ramps, but they are obviously for strollers. Because they are wide and uncomfortable for suitcases, and if you roll one at a time, the wheels fall through. Obviously, whoever planned them never travels by train and with luggage..I would like someone to start thinking about people..
Suburban ticket offices on weekends are not happy -there are 1-2 cash desks and vending machines, and the queues are huge...
The square itself seems to have become more well-groomed, but less cozy when large trees were cut down in the center...

On the one hand, the station building looks quite modern and clean, with convenient signs and lots of shops and cafes where you can pass the time while waiting for the train. This is really convenient for travelers, especially if there is a short break between trains.
On the other hand, it can sometimes be difficult to find empty seats in the waiting room during rush hours, and the queue at the ticket office can be quite long. In addition, we would like to see more automated terminals for buying tickets to facilitate the process.
In general, the station performs its function, but there are some points that can be improved for a more comfortable stay of passengers.

There are boutiques and clothes, and household appliances, snack bars, coffee machines, a paid toilet, something in the area of 1-1.5 rubles. Slot machines with toys, digital equipment, etc. Since such structures are built from the category, "a person should even intuitively understand where to go," since foreign people also visit Gomel, everything is arranged quite clearly and you immediately know which platform your train is on (the exits to them are made as comfortable as possible), but the location of the ticket offices of regional and international communications is quite confusing but only on the first visit. Then you become a guru there and you can easily navigate. And also, I almost forgot, there is a recreation room, paid, luggage storage, paid Parking, free Parking. There are almost never queues, since I work at the ticket office constantly and in large numbers, depending on the flow of passengers, and not like in hypermarkets in your city). Definitely 5 out of 5 I am satisfied!
