Almaty -2 railway station as a historical place is generally not bad. But, the seat in the waiting room is terrible in winter and in summer it is cold, it is not comfortable to sit the staff / controls at the entrance/ exit are also terribly rude and not friendly. In general, the station is not bad. but there is no mother-child room and a prayer hall, but there is a hotel in the station itself. this is terrible, although the station area is very small and does not meet the standards, but someone is doing a Choir on this. business is shameful and not humanly (where are the akimat, the authorities looking?). Actually, the train station is a state facility. I don't mind if the area allows?

I put 1 star only for the cashier's employees. It's just a nightmare, there are 1 maximum of two ticket offices, and the queue moves 1-2 people per hour! It is not clear at all what they are doing, they are very rude, they needed a boarding pass, they did not wait for their turn, they had to go to the Almaty 1 railway station.

I was not impressed by the train station. It feels like the building has grown into the ground. The indistinct gray color makes it thicker and lower. When designing, the architects took into account both the color scheme and the location relative to other buildings. Now it feels like it is not taken into account. They were covered with gray tiles , the space around them was rebuilt-redrawn . it didn't work out very well. The staff is fine, everything is clean and tidy. Taxi without problems. Everything is organized The location - the city center - is very convenient. But, for those in a hurry, it's better not to go here and get off at Alma-Ata station 1. We waited 40 minutes before we went to Alma-Ata 2. Parking is organized, everything is fine here.

The station building was very modern at the time of construction. Beautiful, not very big, cozy. It was built in 1930- 1940. Pieces of the old building are still preserved on the territory of the station. Thanks to TURKSIB, a new building was built, which still greets and accompanies people every day. The area around the station has been cleared not very long ago. There was no park before. I really like this place in the city.
