The old station, good platform layout, excellent access to the city, bypassing the station itself from tracks 2 and 3. The personal staff of the station is friendly and responsive. There is no place to charge the phone, I found single sockets near the cash register, but there is no sign of the scoreboard... It's like the train station is not in Almaty, but in the wilderness. The work of the police was shocked: the loader took a rather large Russian bill and did not want to give change or accept it in Kazakh at the rate. The police came up very quickly, calmly and politely handled the situation. They appear quickly, communicate very calmly. They will always help if necessary. I have observed different situations more than once. Apples and fruits are ALWAYS sold at the station according to the season of local farmers, it is more profitable than to take them at the market. I am always asked with some irony what my impressions of Kazakh trains are. I answer honestly: GREAT! Yes, I agree, the carriages are very old. But the attitude of the guides to their work, maintaining cleanliness, and being attentive to people, especially with children, is at the highest level.
