Starting in September 1977, when I flew to Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, to study at the Vyborg Aviation Technical School named after Marshal Zhavoronkov, in 1980 I graduated with honors and went to work at the airport of local airlines Burundai, where I worked for 5 years. He worked on a business trip and flew from Alma-Ata airport two or three times a month throughout Kazakhstan and beyond. Previously, the airport was cozy, clean, and lots of greenery, both inside and outside the building. Unfortunately, the photos have not been preserved. And I have not been to the new terminal building, but I hope that everything has changed there only for the better!!!

We have transformed this part of the city very pleasantly. A beautiful recreation area appeared in front of the station. There is a market nearby, many cafes where the food is tasty and inexpensive. The only inconvenience is in being careful to find your platform in time, since the easiest way is to get to the 1st track, you need to run to the rest either by subway or above-ground crossings. The toilet is paid, despite the availability of a ticket (because of this, I reduce the rating of the review to 4 stars). At the railway station 2, the toilet is more convenient and free.

The transit station of our city, Almaty 1, trains mainly pass through Ata, parking is not so large in time, but normal 10-15 minutes. Those who get to Almaty only by train, who are closer to the city, get to the second one there closer to the city. 1 It's a long drive further down the city. It's a good train station.
