Who likes a quiet family vacation, without noisy parties and frenzied traffic, Tsandrypsh is the best place for such a holiday and vacation. You can relax in Tsandrypsh, and for active recreation from here you go on tours to anywhere in Abkhazia. The same tours in Gagra are of course more expensive, and of course accommodation is more expensive. Choose according to your wallet, and welcome to sunny and friendly Abkhazia!
A very creative and inviting place, giving off the spirit of romance and symbolism. If you are nearby, do not pass by, this is a wonderful photo location!!!
We arrived from St. Petersburg by train, everything is fine, half an hour before the Tsandrypsh station we passed our border guards, followed right at the very station of the border guards of Abkhazia and immediately get off. There are dooty fries with good prices and shops and cafes within a minute's walk. We are very happy with the trip.
The photo of the station is old, it has been restored for 3 years, nothing has been done inside, Duty free was stuck around, the first year I went to see the assortment, prices. I doubt that they will bring this building to mind, apparently they do not want to invest, as usual they have an excuse-we do not have money, they are probably waiting for someone.
The station is awaiting major repairs. The architecture must be preserved. This summer, my husband and I were escaping from a downpour there and the dog came in, he was so handsome and waited out the elements with us. 😄
A gorgeous Soviet-era building. Do you understand how impressive it was to come on vacation from the factory, walk through this train station and immediately find yourself on the seashore

Arriving in Gagra, do not rush to immediately be guided by the prices of taxi drivers that they offer, they offered us to Gudauta for both 4000 and three to leave, I haggled with them as much as I could then said that for such a price I would walk, everyone laughed together, eventually left for 2500, not quite cheap, but not it is so expensive, but in general, climbing up the hill to the central road, minibuses pass there and it is quite possible to vote and leave even cheaper, read the main thing or ask where she is going and whether you can get her to the place where you need to go
A beautiful building. Renovated. Duty-Free shops have been made around the edges. Clear. On the side of the railway tracks, to the right of the building there is a cute fountain with water. A little further away there is a small park - cypresses, palm trees, magnolias, roses - beauty)))
The station is running, needs a lot of repairs, the Soviet architecture itself is striking in its beauty. Since the station is in critical condition, the ticket office is located to the left of it (if you look at the station), in a separate small room. The toilet is also located in a separate room to the right of it 150 meters from the station. There are no frames and inspection points. The atmosphere of the Union is felt.
Sadness… Gagra Railway Station is just a sad sight ... it's a pity ... Such beauty of nature around, and devastation everywhere… In fact, the station is closed, next to a stall with the inscription "railway ticket office"... Waiting for trains - on benches, on the street… I gave 3 stars - only in memory of the past of blooming Abkhazia.
When the repairs are finished, it will probably be beautiful. And it would be necessary to produce and install the name already. It is advisable to make an outdoor toilet. It's unlikely to be inside.
The station building. Extensive repairs are underway. Inside, people are sitting amid the devastation. There's nowhere else to go. Or on the street on benches. There is a police post right there, duty free. The sea is nearby.
A standard train station. Unfortunately, it requires a complete overhaul (in principle, like the whole country). Behind the beautiful nature there is an almost hopeless poverty, from which there is practically no escape without the money of the Russian Federation..
The village of Tsandripsh in Gagra district is located 7 km from the Abkhazian-Russian border there is a very beautiful nature, the purest mountain air and the purest sea.
Beautiful architecture, but terribly neglected. It's a pity about the story. I really want to see it after the reconstruction (I really hope that this will happen). There are a lot of stray dogs that scare people with their appearance and aggressiveness.
It is very sad that the station is abandoned. I hope it will be restored in the near future. This is important first of all for vacationers in Abkhazia!
The old train station. They knew how to do it in the USSR. The facade has now been repaired, but everything is abandoned inside. There is no money to continue. The building is not functioning. It's sad to look at such buildings...
An ancient building, it is interesting to see, there is a stone fountain with drinking water near it, it is even difficult to guess how old it is, but it works surprisingly!
There are few shops and they are all right in the sun! There is a cafe nearby - this is a plus of course! Cafe with wi-fi , so while waiting for the train you can use the Internet
We can say that there is no train station there, since in order to leave there, you need to purchase tickets in advance in Gagra. Through its territory you can get to the beach
