Open up to 24 hours. Then it's unclear. You can only sit outside. There are only 8 (!!) seats inside. McDonald's is starting to hint at closing at 21 o'clock.
It's a little unpleasant at night if you go outside the station. A lot of homeless people, beggars.
But the police are inside, it's safe.

Like all Italian train stations, it is wildly cold in winter, since the doors do not close and the wind always blows, plus metal seats that are just opposite the doors.
So a tip - if you are planning a trip in autumn/winter, come right to the departure of your train.
Otherwise, it is convenient, the ticket office is right at the entrance, the track system is clear, train schedules are at every step, there are many cafes (but, of course, prices in cafes, as always at train stations, are very high).
