Helsinki Central Station is the main railway station of the country. The years of construction 1904-1914. The modern building was opened in 1919. There are souvenir shops inside.

When I first saw this station, I was pleasantly surprised: there is no specific railway smell, clean, neat, there is a decent-looking bistro, you can immediately get to the subway from the station building. There are elevators on the platform for passengers with luggage and the disabled.
The station, as expected, is located in the center of Helsinki. From here you can run to the main store - Stockmann. Yes, there are many other things around!
BUT: don't try to sleep on the bench there :). There have been cases of theft of bags from sleeping passengers. A train station is a train station!
