The boat trip through the canyon itself is impressive. The views are amazing. Be sure to take warm clothes! A strong cold wind blows in places. First, everyone occupied the upper deck, and then went down to the closed lower deck. Immediately, everyone wanted hot coffee, as it were. 3 in 1 from a sachet.
After visiting the canyon, the trip program includes a visit to the lower lake - Manavnat reservoir. In 2 hours they promise to feed lunch, take a boat ride with a swim. In fact, there is no boat, no one dared to swim from the pontoon among the fishing rods. And those who wanted to go fishing broke their gear. Half-hour lunch and 1.5 hours waiting for departure to the hotel.
5 stars only for the Green Canyon itself. I will leave the rest without evaluation. Maybe others will have better luck.
Great tour. The eyes rejoice in the colors from the blue water, the mountains strewn with coniferous trees. They say the water is cold there, but it is very pleasant for us as residents of central Russia. At first, we were given a little test ride on a boat, we stopped to swim and fish (hold a fishing rod) for an hour to catch something substantial, it's ridiculous to count. There are fish there, but they don't want to bite because of the splashing and diving. After we were taken to eat. You will all be given tokens on the ship, which it is better not to lose, for them you will be given either a piece of meat or fish or chicken in a restaurant.
After lunch, we sailed for a long time along the canyon admiring the rocks and forests. We saw mountain goats, flamingos, loons, and eagles. We stopped to swim at the pirate ship again. On the way back, you will be offered to redeem your photos. Bargain boldly. It is more profitable for them to get at least something from you than to waste the spent materials. I was offered a set of photos and 2 plate frames for an initial price of $ 84, I bargained up to 30.
It is a very picturesque place. The road to konen fascinates with its views and serpentines. From above, near the dam, you will find a beautiful view and gorgeous mountains. There is a parking lot for transport. Mini market with souvenirs and snacks. At the bottom of the canyon there is a developed infrastructure with restaurants, cafes and walks by water transport.
We were on an excursion on 24.10.24. The places are picturesque and beautiful. There is something to take pictures of. But I did not like the organization of the tour itself at all. It took a long time to collect tourists from hotels, it took almost 2 hours, although it took about an hour to drive there. But that's half the trouble. Instead of telling about the country and the people, they just turned on the music on the bus and also arranged entertainment with water spraying from water pistols. At first it was funny, but then my jacket got so wet that I had to squeeze it out, and all the clothes were wet, not pleasant. These are also small things. I didn't like that they brought me to some small shop and gave me 45 minutes to choose souvenirs. We just hung around for 45 minutes and didn't know what to do. Frankly, it was very boring at that moment. Then there were the same long stops for packing and moving the group. Despite the fact that the zoo was given only 30 minutes. When buying the tour, they said that everything was paid for, there was no need to pay extra. But on the spot, they asked for $ 3 per person to enter the zoo. It's a small thing, but it's unpleasant. They were brought to the dam, and there they gave only 20 minutes for a walk. They didn't tell anything special on the steamer either, the guide's story took about 5 minutes. They promised trout for lunch when selling the tour, but they gave chicken)) well, the path through the canyon somehow looks either littered or cluttered. While driving: mountains of some boards, bricks, near cafes that loudly call themselves a restaurant, piles of garbage. Empty bottles are floating in the water. In general, such excursions are more interesting in our mountains in Sochi or Abkhazia. I expected more.
The place is very beautiful - a hydroelectric power station, a large reservoir, a rather steep mountain road, a cheerful serpentine, especially if the car is like ours on mechanics :) we can take a boat ride, we didn't have time, it's a pity, I'm sure it's very beautiful.
A wonderful charming place! We arrived by car, we were put on a boat with groups of tourists. A 1.5 - 2 hour boat trip through the canyon. The views are amazing! Swimming in the turquoise water of the reservoir from the platform. There are 4 changing cabins, 2 ladders for descending into the water from the platform. Everything is thought out and convenient. The water is slightly cooler than in the sea (October).
I really liked it 👍👍🏻
Incredible beauty, fantastic landscapes, unique natural and man-made objects, play with all the colors of the rainbow.Boating and swimming in the water are especially unforgettable experiences. The dam is impressive, and the road itself is full of bright colors.
It's better to get there by yourself, there will be time to see everything. For a walk on the water, it is more convenient to take a two-hour catamaran ride in order to swim and see the entire reservoir, the Manavgat river with keys and the indescribable beauty of the views.
I've been planning to come here for 5 years. Without the crowds of tourists. Purely one-on-one with nature. The water is clear. It's getting cold. There is silence all around. It's magical.
You can climb higher up the mountain. Gorgeous views open up, and take pictures and just contemplate.
The place is really beautiful, but $ 120 for two people can be spent in Turkey with more benefit.
We waited half an hour for the catamaran to be sent, rode for 20 minutes, stopped for fishing and swimming.
Few people wanted to swim in dirty water. No one stole the fish, they threw a loaf into the lake just like that, they wanted to see if the fish would come. No, the fish never appeared.
The Green Canyon in Manavgat is the largest artificial reservoir in Turkey. It is located in the Mediterranean region, which is well known to many Russian tourists, between Alanya and Antalya. The territory of the Canyon is recognized as a national park.
The canyon appeared as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric power station. A powerful dam on the Manavgat River was built for almost 20 years and opened in 1984. At that time, it was the third largest dam in Turkey and the largest high-altitude structure in the country.
Swiss specialists were invited to create a hydroelectric power plant. 4 turbines were built, each of which is capable of producing 135 MW of power. One of the main consumers of this energy is the aluminum plant in Seydisehir.
The area of the Green Canyon reservoir is very impressive — just under 500 hectares. Thousands of tourists travel a long way to the canyon to plunge into the incredible flavor of these places. The captivating beauty and grandeur of the emerald surface of the water are framed here by the richest nature. Depending on the season, you will witness the exuberant flowering of tangerines, oranges, almonds, languishing under the heavy fruits of pomegranate trees, olive groves, at first glance seemingly completely unreal giant cacti, the fruits of which you can taste. Raising your head higher, look for the nests of highland eagles — they love this area very much.
Very simple people live in the mountain villages around — here you can see the completely unglamorous, non-touristic life of the country, which is much more diverse, richer and sincere.
Green Canyon in numbers:
- 350 meters above sea level;
- 100 meters deep;
- 27 sources, due to which the reservoir is being updated and replenished;
- stable water temperature in the canyon is about 12C all year round (due to its underground sources).
It is especially pleasant to climb the canyon on a sultry day of the hot dry season, which in this region is usually set from mid-June to the end of September. Stay cool, cool down and return to a relaxing holiday under the hot sun.
We went from the FUN&SUN tour operator. From the noxinn deluxe hotel. We have a 10-month-old baby. We asked the guide if it would be okay with the child , as we immediately understood that the venture was risky . To which he replied that it was a great excursion with a child.It takes an hour and a half to get there . As a result, we were picked up from the hotel at 7:10 a.m., returned back at 16:50. Almost 10 hours of time , of which the tour lasted 4:30 . The rest of the time was taken by the road (5.5 hours). It 's a wild horror, they stopped by us at 6 hotels . The canyon is beautiful, but in fact you can see there, take a couple of photos and that's it. The rest of the time you're being dragged back and forth … In short, I do not recommend this tour, especially with children. It's easier to rent a car and go to see it, cheaper and faster. We went on 08.10.24. The canyon is beautiful, funsun sucks.
A very beautiful and picturesque place! I will not evaluate the tour and the ship, it has nothing to do specifically with the canyon. The nature is incredible! Emotions begin already when climbing the serpentine and do not let go until the very end of the journey. Magnificent views, mountains, goats, magical water! In general, I highly recommend you to visit!
The nature is fabulous, but absolutely consumerist and boorish attitude towards tourists. A dirty "canteen" with terrible food and greasy plates, dirt and other traces of human activity on the pier, poorly organized routes for tourists, very poor service on ships - instant coffee and tea from bags. We were looking for a chamber trip, and as a result we got a massive trip on a rather battered vessel, where half of the seats were wet because of the rain and people had to wet their fifth points, because the boat was filling to capacity. But incredible photos will definitely be provided to you - the turquoise color of the water is unreal, rocks, trees on rocks. Of the two swimming spots offered, only one could take a dip, the first was categorically dirty, logs, bottles and other debris were floating there. To be honest, it is very sad that such a gorgeous tourist route got to be serviced by such irresponsible dolts. And yes, if you want Turkish coffee, it is possible that you will have to cook it yourself, because for 20 buses the juicer, cocktail maker and coffee maker are one elderly uncle. The tour was definitely not worth the money.

Another quiet day away from the chaos and bustle of the city surrounded by nature is quite possible. The Green Canyon is an artificial reservoir of the Oymapinar hydroelectric power plant, located on the Manavgat River 40 km from Side. The canyon is surrounded by hills where citrus trees grow, alpine eagles nest, and wild goats graze. There are no snack bars or shops here, and this is not surprising, because the reservoir is primarily a strategic, not a tourist site. Built in 1977, a 185 m high dam blocked the mountain gorge, where 27 rivers flow from the foothills of the Taurus. The average depth of the reservoir is 130 m, in some places it is twice as large. When filling the gorge, the ruins of ancient Roman aqueducts, which once supplied the Side with fresh water, and century-old pines partially went to the bottom. The purest water beckons to take a dip, and has a unique emerald hue due to its saturation with iron, however, you can't swim here for a long time, the temperature never exceeds +12 ° C. The territory of the Canyon is recognized as a national park, here I want to stay right for a long time. P.S. I caught myself thinking, I already want to return, it's incredibly exciting there.
The most beautiful place! A wonderful tour! One of the most liked in Turkey! The beauty is all around - mountains, rocks, pines, emerald water, swimming is very pleasant (we were in July), trout is amazingly delicious. All for 5+
The most beautiful place!
Keep in mind: there may be a strong wind, take a windbreaker, or at least a beach towel to cover yourself.
Very beautiful landscapes, especially on the streamers!
It's worth a look. Nicely. If I hadn't seen the fjords of Norway, the lakes of the Altai Mountains and other analogues, I would have been absolutely delighted
The place is very beautiful. The color of the water, the rocks, the viewpoints, the road there. We bought in the city for $ 35 per person. We were traveling on three buses without windows for 15 people from Alanya. Along the way, the drivers entertained as much as they could, stopped in the orange /pomegranate garden, stopped at the zoo, stopped for photos, refueled with bottles of water at these points and poured each other all over each other along the way, it was fun) who is interested here is the insta of our club_bus07 bus. We took a catamaran ride in a circle, stopping for a swim and back. Then they were taken downstream to another lake in a restaurant. They fed me well. The main drawback is that they did not say in advance that they need to stock up on drinking water. I had to buy at exorbitant prices at checkpoints. As it is, we are very happy with this route. If you are a snob who doesn't like to have fun with strangers, take a big bus from a tour operator.
It was a wonderful place, we really liked it, they gave us delicious food, swam, admired the very beautiful views
I advise everyone to visit this place
A beautiful natural place, walks on the water are mandatory. Bathing is welcome. It is very easy to get there by car rental, the navigator will lead you, parking is large.
The place is beautiful, as are the views. Fishing without fish. Lunch is good. I was in October, no one warned me that it was windy. As a result, it blew away just like that, especially in the shade
A good place for a separate day trip for a variety of traditional beach holidays and reducing inactivity and ultra-exclusive overeating in coastal hotels. Nature, water, architecture, history - 4 in 1.
There are favorite places where you want to return and experience emotions of joy, purity, happiness and peace. We remember the Green Canyon in Turkey very much and liked it very much. 60💵 per person. Definitely worth it. We swam 2 times, were fed delicious, gorgeous views, real peace and beauty!! I recommend it!!
A very beautiful canyon, but in fact it is a dam at a height, the water is clean and cold, although the road is very dangerous but worth it.

It's a good place. It's nice to take a catamaran ride through the canyon. Of the green, indeed, only water. There are stops for swimming. In general, you can go once, but no more.
We went on an excursion from the hotel on 03.10.2023. I didn't regret the price for a minute (110 euros for 2 people). A great place, very beautiful, you can take great photos. Swimming is a must. The water is cool and light, the color is awesome. They fed us lunch, including mutton - I love it.
Only positive emotions both from driving and from the views around. The dam is especially impressive when you are still standing at the bottom, before climbing the serpentine. There are wonderful views all along the lower reservoir. The road along its eastern part is in decent condition and empty, you can invest in turns.
We took an excursion from Anex tour. The guide at the hotel showed us beautiful photos and we agreed. $59 per person. The tour bus was 20 minutes late. We quickly reached the canyon. Several buses were put on one old boat. We rode a little (20 minutes) along the canyon and there was the first stop. Fishing and swimming. Several boats stopped and a crowd of people came out onto a small pier to fish with broken fishing rods and tangled fishing lines. There is some kind of construction going on here, there is also a "restaurant". The food in the restaurant is for three. The plates are dirty, the tables are dirty. There is a slave, chicken, cutlets and some vegetables. Of the drinks, only fanta and pepsi. After lunch, our guide lost two women with children, at that time he was counting money for plates with photos of tourists. It started to rain heavily. Everyone huddled on the lower deck. Timati-type music and some Caucasian motifs were constantly playing on the boat. I recommend a guided tour. Sorry for the money and time spent. I would like Anex representatives in Turkey to be more qualified and responsible. The representative of Intourist left a good impression.
An amazingly beautiful lake and nature. They get there by tourist buses and can be reached by car. Along the way, you are surrounded by beautiful mountains and a dam. The water in the lake is emerald-colored. We were without a band, on our own. Be sure to get even on a boat on the lake. There are options for arrival in the small canyon and swimming for 1 hour and in the grand canyon for a longer time. Beauty and unity with nature.
It's a very beautiful place, but with a completely ruined infrastructure. The road is full of holes and landslides. There is garbage everywhere, dirt, ruins from old cafes.
The place is great, the water is not clean but turquoise, there is a hydroelectric power station nearby, the place is surrounded by mountain ranges, zigzags and construction is underway nearby and different sounds of construction interfere with rest a little, but in general everything is fine
I booked the tour from Alanya. I regretted my decision at the second hour of gathering tourists at the hotels... Of the seven stated hours, you will spend three or four in a minibus. Of course, it does not depend on the company, but it is a fact. There are individuals who keep themselves waiting for half an hour. Then we arrived at the place, boarded a catamaran (in our case) and sailed. It was fun for about 20 minutes, the mountainous landscape and the right soundtrack pulled out the impression of a lost day. The program included fishing (a bunch of dead fishing rods on a wooden pontoon + loaves on which carp should be caught))) in fact, everyone went out onto the pontoon, stood, and swam on. The landscape around is for an amateur:bare slopes with withered forest. Apparently, during the construction of the dam, the natural conditions changed and the trees died. We sailed for lunch, a canteen on the shore, garbage around, withered trees, flocks of cats that eat your food while you turned away to pour some water) then sailed to the next pontoon, for swimming...water +10, air +20. We stood on the pontoon and sailed on. In fact, we left the hotel at 08:00, were at the reservoir at 12:00, and boarded a truck at 15:00 for the return trip. The whole "pleasure" cost 30€. On the plus side: nice guys-Turks on a catamaran, well-chosen music. It's all.
A great place to relax. You can't take your eyes off the turquoise water of different shades. A catamaran ride is fascinating. Beautiful cliffs and coves in the canyon. A light breeze gives freshness. Swimming in the bay, the water is 25 degrees. September 12, 2022
