The registry office, in the distant past a bank, is a landmark building for Kobrin both in terms of architecture and in terms of maintenance. Already at the time when the registry office department was located there, for many years the editorial office of Kobrin television and the newspaper Kobrin-Inform was located in the right wing. I was lucky enough to work there as a journalist, a TV presenter, and master other specialties. It is worth noting that in the late 90s, and in subsequent years, on those evenings when our programs aired, the streets of Kobrin were empty, everyone was interested to see what was happening in Kobrin. Sometimes the editorial staff watched through the front windows for cavalcades of wedding cars, elegant newlyweds and their guests. The mood was always lifted when the sounds of the wedding march and the enthusiastic voices of the ceremony participants could be heard behind the wall of the neighbors. New families were born in the registry office, new programs were born in our country. It was a great time!
The building of the former Kobrin bank is located on the Castle Square of the city. The square is adjacent to the shore of Mukhavets. The building has architectural value, it is made in a classical style with elements of classicism. Currently, the building has been transferred to the Kobrin Registry Office
