It's a great defensive structure, and we had a guide inside. A little-known place. Many Belarusians have not been there. You can drive up by car, but you should be very careful and do not walk where the sign says that entry is prohibited. The right wing was currently accessible for passage. On the walls you can see the inscriptions of soldiers from 1888.
The "Western Redoubt" was the completion of our study of the Brest fortress. Although the building is in an abandoned state, it immerses in the atmosphere of the war years. Both the primary brickwork of the 19th century and traces of future alterations are visible, which makes it possible to realize the horrors of that time. The atmosphere here is incredible, intertwining human destinies, courage and self-sacrifice. The engineering idea of this structure impresses with its thoughtfulness and monumentality, which makes it a truly magnificent monument. It is a pity that some people use it to train their artistic abilities, which spoils the historical atmosphere.
