A snow-white castle with 140 luxurious halls! Carved ceilings, carved furniture, gorgeous porcelain, tapestries, stained glass windows, marble staircase. You really get to several centuries . In front of the castle there is a very beautiful park with incredible lawns.
The Czech Republic is a country of thousands of castles and Gluboka nad Vltava is no exception. Built in the 13th century by King Wenceslas the first, with a courtyard and a huge number of different interior items. Sometimes you even have to squeeze between furniture and knight's armor one at a time because of their large accumulation. Tapestries, dark wood, paintings, hunting trophies - everything is so fascinating and steeped in history that the impressions of visiting this castle will excite the imagination for a long time! I definitely recommend to visit on a combined excursion to the Czech Krumlov and Gluboka nad Vltava.
