The Jewish cemetery in Sopotsk is one of the oldest and largest in Belarus. Some sources date back to 1278, but this date is questionable.
Nowadays, the territory of the cemetery is well cleaned. An interesting location to review.
There are no signs from the road. It's not easy to find. It is necessary to walk along the forest path. The cemetery itself is surrounded by a fence. The preservation of the plates is poor, the inscriptions are almost invisible.
An atmospheric place, but abandoned and completely neglected. The inscriptions on the tombstones are not readable, and I can't even read Hebrew).Judging by the fact that this is one of the oldest graves in Belarus, and maybe in Europe, I would like it to be preserved.
