Nice hotel, friendly staff. The room is very small but cozy. If you only need to relax after excursions, then that's it! There is everything you need - a kettle, a fridge, a hairdryer, towels, a bathrobe, a TV.

I stayed at the Xan Hotel in Baku and was very pleased with my choice. The hotel is located in the heart of the Old City, just a stone's throw from the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs' Palace. An ideal place for those who want to experience the atmosphere of Baku: the streets around are incredibly cozy, and all the main attractions can be reached on foot.
The room was clean, with an authentic interior: carpets, antique details, beautiful furniture. Everything looked very colorful and warm. The room had everything you needed: air conditioning, refrigerator, kettle, safe.
The staff is beyond praise! They are very friendly and attentive guys, always ready to help. Special thanks to Elmina!
The breakfasts are delicious, albeit without much variety, but always fresh and satisfying. I especially liked the jam — the taste of childhood!
If you want to feel the real Baku, stay in a quiet and cozy place, while being in the very center of events — Xan Hotel is an excellent choice. I will definitely come back here again!
I have been staying at this hotel for the second year. Polite and helpful staff. The rooms are decorated in Oriental style. All accessories are matched in color and tone. The room has everything you need, and this is a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, a TV. In the bathroom there is a shower cabin, a washbasin and a hygienic shower near the toilet. There was a toothbrush in the package, soap and shampoo. The price for a room is 40 manats in rubles, which is 2,280 rubles.
I put "fives". The hotel is for those who came for travel and impressions. The main attractions are within walking distance. This is the heart of the old town. Cafes, restaurants nearby. The sea too.
You feel at home. Kamran is the manager of the hotel, as attentive as possible to every tourist. Solves all problems on the fly. Cordiality and hospitality are its main features. If you are flying to Baku, then land safely at this hotel. You will get into a fairy tale!!!
We stayed in February 2024.
cons:
- Forgot to put towels (they were missing in the closet).
- Sockets are not familiar (you will have to turn on the logic: what and how to turn on).
- There was a chipped sink in the bathroom.
I give five stars for the Kamran employee:
- I eliminated any problem in the hotel promptly.
- I personally conducted a tour of the "old town" (free of charge - that is, for free).
- Showed a good restaurant (where "Locals" eat).
- I solved any problem and issue promptly (Whether it was a transfer, breakfast or questions about the room).
- I recommended which excursions it is better to go with a guide or so. (All the tips were correct)
- The hotel staff is loyal if you take a bottle of DELICIOUS local POMEGRANATE wine and sit down in the "Dining area at a table" (they will offer a corkscrew and glasses themselves). Thanks to this approach, the service is 100 points out of 5.
They brought me to this hotel from another one, where there was a complete discrepancy between advertising and reality. They offered it at a more expensive price than at the booking and on condition that we cancel that reservation. I didn't like the room. The stink in the bathroom. Nothing to do with the stated 4 stars. There is no elevator. Apparently they work in pairs, inflating both tourists and booking at the same time. Beware of this hostel.
It smells dirty. There is hair in the bathroom, and garbage from past tenants in the rooms. We did not stay the night because there is a complete discrepancy between the description and photos(
