The prices are high, but when the dishes arrive, you quickly understand why. We didn't really like the fact that the waiter who served us suddenly disappeared somewhere and another one came instead. You could just say a few words. But we are not offended, the circumstances are different, we understand everything. If I want something delicious like lamb in cream sauce, I will definitely come back here. Thanks!
A cozy, expensive place. Convenient location, and guest parking. The high category of the restaurant determines the contingent, so everything is culturally and cleanly there. Of course, the years are taking their toll, and the building is asking for cosmetics and a revision of the views of marketers.
The building has 2 banquet halls on different floors and an outdoor terrace. Excellent acoustics and a stage for live music. For those who want to go outside, you will be offered a blanket. The peace of the establishment is guarded by security. The kitchen is located on the ground floor behind the glass partition of the banquet hall. The lobby has an original interior, a photo zone and places where you can chat away from the music. The service is at a high level.
The kitchen seemed just good, without frills. I was slightly surprised by the meat dishes, very tender meat, shallow-fried, but without spices. It looked lean.

I was recently and was very impressed by the warm atmosphere and individual approach to each guest. I was served by Dmitry, who told me the menu in style and advised me what to take. At first, I took Ukrainian borscht, which I really liked, but what impressed me more was the waiter's offer to serve horseradish to borscht (served in a frozen glass), I was just delighted with this duo, the balance of flavors is wonderful. Later, I ordered a steak, to which I was also offered wine as an accompaniment, it greatly complemented the medium-soft meat and potatoes with herbs. A great place in the park near the library, where responsive and sincere people work in the person of the administrator and busboys!

We celebrated the anniversary on the 2nd floor. There were 40 of us and it wasn't crowded. It was possible to "breathe" on the veranda. The other guests did not bother us, but we did. The cuisine was wonderful, everything was delicious: meat, fish, snacks - on top. The team of waiters at our party are well done and clever, thank them very much. The evening flew by unnoticed. The unobtrusive care pleased me. There was a slight overlap with the music, but it did not spoil the overall impression. A great place in all respects + there is a smoking room for those who like to light a cigar and reflect on the high. Everything is in moderation, comfortable, dignified, without pretentiousness, which disposes to quality rest.

I was extremely surprised by the New Year's corporate party 2023-2024. Without knowing the institution in advance, I would definitely give a rating of 1. A complete failure on all issues.
The kitchen - the management should be ashamed of this! What was offered in the New Year's menu does not correspond at all to the level of the institution. The level of a mediocre tavern: cold appetizers like fish and many meat are over-salted. If these are purchased items, then you need to pay more attention to suppliers. If these are independent preparations, it's a shame.
Hot to taste is fine, but given the experience of the daily menu, the New Year's is much worse.
The strangest thing is: how can there be an underweight in such a high-level institution for dishes that are visible to the naked eye. It was easy to understand that where there should be 1.6 kg of food, there is not even close to this. And it is visible to the eye!!!! If measured with scales, I'm sure there would be a lot of surprises.

We probably sat there for another 2 minutes, left a tip, and began to leave, and then a woman with a brick face and a guard blocked us, she didn't even look at us, but just said that the bill was not paid. After that, she ignored us and went further into the hall. We were discouraged, firstly by the arrogance, and secondly, we were told before that the payment had passed. We returned to the place where we paid, waited for the exact confirmation that the payment had passed and left with a terrible sediment. They also left a tip for this circus!!

Convenient location, large hall, interesting menu of fish and various meats. I took a venison shurpa and a venison cutlet. I really liked both of them.

On January 8, 2025, we decided to visit a restaurant and have dinner in honor of my birthday. My friend and I were in Minsk for the first time. We walked around the city, had lunch and dinner before that in various establishments of different classes and levels, and were quite satisfied everywhere. But visiting the Wood&Fire restaurant left extremely negative memories.
We were very dissatisfied with the overall impression of the Wood&Fire restaurant and, most importantly, the cuisine, but I'll tell you in more detail.
The table was not booked, because the booking form on the website did not work and refused to go to the confirmation screen. We decided that we would go after the fact. The restaurant was half empty at 7 p.m. We were initially escorted to a table by the window. My friend told the first waiter that I had a doctor. To which the waiter looked at us with a puzzled expression and replied: "We have not accepted any preferences and birthday greetings!". This surprised us very much, because no restaurant had ever refused to congratulate us before.
It was noticeable that the furniture in the restaurant was "not fresh" and needed to be updated. Our table was scratched all over, as if someone had been butchered on it (a joke). It seemed strange for a restaurant from such a price segment. But okay, we came to eat and celebrate my Dr.
We ordered the first course, cauliflower Cream soup with coconut milk. The soup was more or less nothing in quality and taste. They ate better, though. Next, we chose different pastas for hot food: pasta with cream sauce and mushrooms and broccoli, and the second with seafood (I can't remember the exact name anymore). One creamy pasta with mushrooms was just a mess of overcooked pasta and hastily poured sauce. The taste is disgusting, no spices or flavor, the mushrooms were not felt at all. This incomprehensible biomass was difficult to eat. A friend joked that they had heated the pasta in the microwave and poured an incomprehensible sauce on top, which was apparently cooked incorrectly. Cherry tomatoes didn't even have the green stem torn off. (See photo)
The second pasta also suffered from overcooked seafood, shrimps and mussels were nothing. The whole taste was interrupted by tomatoes, which were mercilessly sliced and thrown into a plate. Both were unsalted from the word at all. Fortunately, salt and pepper were on the table. We couldn't improve the taste much, but it became at least a little more edible.
We both chose pasta because it is one of the basic dishes of Italian cuisine. It's hard to spoil it, but the chef of the Wood&Fire restaurant was able to do it.
The waiter was called and noted the strange taste of the pasta. They replied that they specialized in steaks and he would give the chef our feedback. Once again, we clarified with the head waiter that the institution does not congratulate its namesakes (this is just the first time we have met this and decided that the first employee might not be aware of the rules). We received an answer in response: "As the head waiter, I'll try to pour a glass of brandy for you personally." It sounded like we were being done a favor. No one has voiced any congratulations.
I have visited many restaurants of different classes in Moscow, Europe and Asia (medium segment and premium restaurants), but I have never tasted such low service and such tasteless food in my life. In total, they paid 170 BEL rubles for dinner, which is simply inexcusable for such service and cuisine. The evening was completely ruined.
As a result, the food was terrible, the wine was pleasant, because it did not need to be prepared by the chef of the restaurant.
The price is absolutely unjustified and we have not seen the declared service of a decent restaurant. We went to a regular cafe for a snack at the price of a premium restaurant with a chef who can't cook pasta.
We do not recommend going to this institution for at least some events. You will not receive congratulations. The food won't please you. The establishment is not worth wasting either money or time.
I put this place on the stop list for myself and I will not recommend it to everyone in the environment.
Question to the restaurant management: why do you indicate on the menu what the chef is not able to cook? Maybe it's time to send the chef for advanced training? With an incomplete landing, the kitchen was in no hurry and could cook decent food, not what was served to us on a festive evening.
The waiter knew about the event that we were celebrating, but he did not advise us to change the dish to something that the kitchen knows how to cook. In response to our comments on the quality of the food, he simply dismissed that this was not their specialty. None of the staff of the institution even just congratulated Dr.
I strongly advise the management of this institution to pay attention to the review and take measures to improve the service and cuisine of the institution.
