The hotel itself is not bad: recently renovated and compared to other hotels, it wins in this regard.
The hotel is not heated. At a temperature of + 10-15 degrees, the room is warm. At a temperature of +5, it is very cold. There is an air conditioner with warm air, but it did not save. I had a fever the whole trip ((( and minus 100€ for medicine (
The administrator is "something". An age-typical Frenchman who never smiles, and feels like he spits in the back when you leave. There's another character who takes out one croissant at breakfast and looks at how much you put on and how much you eat.
For 10 days we have not been able to get used to it. Unpleasant.
The "non-French" have a special attitude: they settled in a very small room with a mansard roof, it was not convenient for my husband, he walked constantly twisted, hit his head. We approached the reception several times, asked to change the room. They lied to our face that there were no available rooms in the hotel, despite the fact that there were only a couple of tables for breakfast in a week with the existing 62 rooms in the hotel.
Someone wrote in reviews about this hotel that there are not enough hooks in the bathroom. I never thought I would support this review. In addition, I just want to add: there is nowhere to put soap, the faucet is made longer than the sink drain and water splashes on the floor. There is not enough door in the shower and all the water is also on the floor, but everything is done neatly and smells new :)).
Strange impression about the hotel.
The room is spacious enough for a hotel of this class. Location is a big fat plus. On the first day, we got a little confused in the neighboring streets and searched for about an hour to get to the hotel. But it's more of a fault. Maps.me which is lost in this area, due to the density of the building. Within walking distance of bus stops (including Open Tour), metro, Bolshye Bulvar Street, Opera house, Lafayette Galleries. You can walk slowly to the Louvre Museum. The room is clean enough. Plumbing is a bit peculiar, but you can get used to it. There is an electric heated towel rail in the bathroom, which also works as a radiator (in the off-season).
Breakfast is not a fountain, but you will not stay hungry. Fresh classic croissants are good, fresh fried eggs or an omelette would remove all questions. Unfortunately, there are no hot breakfasts (there are boiled eggs). The peculiar elevator is a little scary, but you gradually get used to it :)
Small tiny rooms. The elevator, God forgive me, is for one person, the suitcase no longer fits. Breakfast is like in a diner, you have to fight for croissants and jam, otherwise other tourists will take everything away. I would have given him one star, no more.
