The earlier name of this stone gate, built at the end of the 18th century, was the Angarik gate due to the ascent from it to the village of Angarik.
The construction of the Deshon fortress wall by olloculichon in 1842 and the appearance of two gates close together gave rise to the names of the Angaric gate and the stone gate. The Southern Angarik gate of the old fort now remains inside, taking the name of the new name – Stone Gate. At the beginning of the 20th century, the reason for the market in front of this gate was that both the Square and the stone gate had taken the name of the Coven market.
The internal structure of the gate was a multi-roomed Castle stretching from North to South, which served as the protection of the city, and it was hidden at night. The gate was guarded by about ten mirshabs in ancient times, and their salaries ranged from four to ten languages.
The interior of the stone gate was suppressed by two large domes and four of its chambers at the edges of the middle aisle by small domes. These rooms in ancient times performed customs, guard duties.
A very authentic place, as if transported to the mysterious Middle Ages and there are no cars around and a caravan is about to appear around the corner
Our childhood is connected with this warot ... On the hot days of summer, the boys and I sat in the windy shade of this gate... the girls did not play with the boys.
