A large transport hub in Delhi. From this station you can go in any direction in India. The station is huge, it's really confusing here.
On the second floor there is a tourist office for booking railway tickets for foreigners. Tickets can be purchased for any destinations and for any dates. The queue is electronic according to the coupon, but if you just clarify something, then you can do it without a queue. The room is comfortable, you can relax on the sofas, recharge your phone, take a breath away from the noise of Delhi. Tickets from the tourist quota are always available. There is a luggage storage at the station, you can leave things, it costs a penny.
The station itself needs modernization and more thorough cleaning. And finally, in restoring order, otherwise there are already legends about the divorce of tourists at this station.
Like everything in India, on the one hand there is dirt, people lying on the aisle and a constant farce. Despite some wildness, the station seemed safe in terms of marginals. But on the other hand, a well-functioning train station provides security, convenient information, a frenzied number of people and it works well. Sometimes there are delays, but I have not encountered more than 15 minutes. And everywhere there is the smell of India - there is no place without it. Do you want a full thrash - there is a Main Bazaar nearby, but this is a separate topic.
Everything is fine, but it is almost impossible to find a ticket office for foreign tourists. It is located in a separate building, if you leave the station on the main bazaar side, then you need to turn left and walk along the road (past taxis, homeless people, "helpers") for 3-5 minutes until you see the sign as in the photo
