About 10 thousand French volunteers participated in this war.... and here, after the collapse of the USSR, they somehow forgot this topic, although about 4 thousand Soviet military advisers and volunteers participated in the Spanish civil war, 59 of them were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union...and they did not put up a monument in the Russian Federation...there is only one in Madrid (it was opened during the Soviet Union, in 1989).
