It was cool place to visit; I enjoyed the trip and people there are really kind 😊; )
Also if you go in the morning you can enjoy the vibe and watch the city without so many cars:)
A monument of the era, you might say. At one time, Shukhov built many towers of his own design in different cities. This one served as a water tower (one of the photos from that time). A significant part of the success in the construction business belonged to the riveting workers who joined the metal structures with rivets. Initially, they produced boilers and ship hulls. There is a museum dedicated to them in Gorokhovets (Vladimir region), and they came from there.
There is a beautiful view from the observation deck, it's a pity that we climbed there already at dusk ...
Visit, the restaurant upstairs is closed, but it's working downstairs))
The observation deck, which offers views of the central part of the city, is especially good in the evening illumination. The tower itself is a fine example of engineering art. The movie about the tower in the lower foyer is a custom cranberry and it's better not to watch it.
In the evening, with a backlight, it's very pretty. There is an elevator to the top, but there is a passage at the top, so those who are not friends with height should not go up
At the base there is a small museum with the history of the tower and a cafe, also not large.
During the day, the tower does not look particularly presentable in comparison with the dark time of the day.
A very unusual structure)) upstairs, instead of a container, there is now a cafe, the kitchen, according to the reviews of local guides, is not remarkable, but the observation deck is good, the architect also realized the structural features of the structure at the Kievsky railway station in Moscow, it was very strange to see Shukhov's work already in Uzbekistan! Surprised.
An interesting building that is probably in the right place, but not very suitable for the environment. Registan Square, Ark Citadel, Bukhara's largest mosque, and nearby it's a pretty building. It doesn't fit me. I especially liked the camel caravan right at the foot of the tower.
I remember this tower when we climbed here with friends to look at the city from a height. Now, as far as I know, there is a restaurant there, I honestly did not go in and I can't say anything. The outside is decorated with LED bulbs, which gives a special look
An excellent observation deck with a view of the whole of Bukhara. It is especially beautiful after sunset, when the lights turn on all over the city. The elevator goes up. The playground itself is not particularly large, but with binoculars. Entrance is paid.
A cool view opens from the tower to the fortress of Bukhara. You can watch everything from it and not waste time on the fortress itself. She's a new model, there's not much to see. Everything is perfectly visible from above.
Ascent to the tower by elevator. Which, by the way, is jamming. The buttons don't work or just refuses to go. The view from the tower opens directly onto the Ark fortress, it is clearly visible what is inside. The bazaar is visible from the other side.
It was probably the most amazing object in Samarkand for me. I didn't expect to see it!
I recommend going, looking outside, reading her story.
And go inside to visit the excellent observation deck!
There is a water tower next to the fortress! You can climb up and enjoy a magnificent view of Bukhara. I recommend. An interesting place. We were on a guided tour. A fabulous view.
In the evening, it glows like a Christmas tree. Inside, a man with the mien of a person running a billion-dollar business is sitting at a table at the entrance. It took an effort for him to look up at me. 40t sums were demanded for climbing the tower. Offered 30, no. Apparently, bargaining in Uzbekistan is not always appropriate. Has left. I looked at the city from the Ferris wheel (PCiO named afterSamanidov) for 15t.
The entrance fee is 40,000 soums for foreigners, 20,000 soums for locals upon presentation of a document. On December 8, it was very windy on the tower, but beautiful. You can look through a telescope.
The view from above is super, excellent. 30 meters high. The water tower was built in 1927. Now it is an observation deck, where there is a restaurant with a small museum downstairs
The tower is located near the Ark Citadel. Therefore, as a tourist object, the observation deck of the famous citadel is clearly losing out. And the size of the tower is not great.
Walking nearby, we went to the Citadel, we noticed the tower. Externally, it is an interesting structure. There was no desire to come in and go upstairs.
A very pleasant place for walking, there are benches in the area, located under trees that create shade, which is simply necessary in summer, beautiful lighting in the evening, an observation deck at the top of the tower, a modern elevator, the cost of visiting 40,000 som
Interestingly, you can go upstairs, there is an overview at the top, different directions))) elevator, but the price is still overstated by 40 tons of sums.
Conflicting feelings from visiting this place. On the one hand, a masterpiece of engineering, on the other, the beauty and lightness of the structure was destroyed by the restaurant, which was located below and "ate" the basement. The mirrored elevator shaft also does not add grace. The local authorities, in an attempt to preserve this monument, have pretty much vulgarized it. It's a good thing they didn't cut it for scrap.
An interesting structure! Once upon a time it was a water tower designed by Shukhov. Now there is a museum and a restaurant downstairs. And you can take an elevator to the tower and see the surroundings of Bukhara from a height!
Having lived my first 30 years of life, I have never visited this tower. And having arrived as a tourist in my hometown, I found the time and desire, as they say. The price tag is divided into its own and tourists, as in all tourist places. Of course, we passed as locals)
A good viewing room, but I would like to be higher))) Not all historical buildings can be seen from it. But the view of the fortress and the historical center is gorgeous.
One of the central attractions in the Registan area. There is a view of the city - because the new city is far enough away, the districts are in the palm of your hand!
On the ground floor of the tower, a 10-minute video is shown briefly describing the construction of the tower, its history and what is associated with it.
There is a pond and a wooden mosque next to the tower, which does not prevent it from being very interesting and even beautiful. It is especially incomparable inside - this is a separate story - I recommend visiting, since we were near the tower.
Nice place, beautiful view from above. There are binoculars.Be sure to go. Entrance is paid. We were alone there, we had a good look at everything. The elevator is good.
A water tower built in Bukhara according to Shukhov's design in 1929. Located in the historical center on Registan Square. It was used for its intended purpose until the end of the 60s . Then, after the fire, it fell into disrepair and was in an abandoned state until recently. It was restored at the expense of French investors and now pleases tourists.
Excellent tower and observation deck, only paid! But the view is good! We were at dusk, it's beautiful! There is a cafe downstairs, you can have a snack! The smell of barbecue is a fairy tale, as in all cafes in Uzbekistan! We did not regret that we went up to the observation deck
An unusual design. I've never seen anything like it. Previously there was a water pump, now there is an observation deck and a cafe. We haven't been inside. But they caught the fireworks right next to it.
A beautiful engineering idea embodied in metal. Interestingly, there used to be an ice cream parlor upstairs, but you had to go up and down the stairs.
Shukhov, of course, has never been here, but the tower was really built according to his design and it is immediately felt. Alas, her slender appearance is pretty disfigured by the modern elevator attached to her. It is a pity that the local authorities did not bother to add it to the list of protected monuments...
The Shukhov Tower is worth a visit for two very important reasons.
1. To see Bukhara and the old city as on a balcony
2. Be sure to ask them to include a video about the history of the Shukhov Tower. I assure you you will get a story not only about the tower but also in short about the history of Bukhara.
There were no queues. We quickly took the elevator to the observation deck. There aren't many people at the top either. Many wonderful photos have been taken! The view is good, you can see almost all the sights! I definitely recommend you to visit!
The place is significant, the location is excellent. I do not recommend dining there at all, the food is not very good.... . If you just drink coffee, then you can. It's a pity that such a place can't afford a good kitchen.
This tower is now used as an observation deck for visitors to the city. You can get to the site by elevator, you will have a view of the whole city, especially the Ark Citadel.
A wonderful observation deck in the very center of Bukhara, an excellent view of the Ark fortress and part of the old city)
There is an elevator, but it is better to go up in windy weather
A beautifully used old structure! I thought it would be dilapidated and creaking)) It's cozy, safe, cool, and the view is amazing!
A great elevator, and an air-conditioned lobby with a movie, a cafe - everything is there!
From this tower there is a wonderful view of Bukhara , the citadel of the Ark in the palm of your hand , there is a restaurant on the upper tier ! They wanted to demolish the tower, but it survived and, fortunately, it has already been realized that this is the history and decoration of the city.
The whole of Bukhara is in full view. The water tower now functions as an observation deck and restaurant. You can see everything there and take the elevator
