This is something - they refuse to communicate on the phone , stating. That they only work with the German embassy, and the US Embassy sent them my passport for delivery.
Emails are answered in a day or two without reading what they are being written to .

Very friendly and courteous staff. I received a passport with a visa from the US consulate, took plane tickets in advance and was a little pressed for time. Upon request, the staff checked that the passport was on the way and issued it without waiting in line.
