Famous musicians from around the world went there, including Samvel Yervinyan, who worked with Yanni.
When it comes to receiving tickets, the workers inside are very nice and polite, especially to those who have health problems with walking. They provide good service by respecting the visitors. ❤️

We were at the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in October 2024 at Swan Lake. In general, everything is fine - a beautiful building, a wonderful orchestra, but there were also little things that spoiled the impression. For example, there was some kind of trouble with the light, the bulbs were constantly blinking, the dancers were stumbling, and the start of the performance was delayed.
And, apparently, ballet is not my thing at all. Let's try to go to the opera again.

Every time I visit Yerevan, I go to the Opera and Ballet Theater. Very beautiful! I watched several ballets and the opera La Traviata. They sing great, dance in different ways) The conductor is wonderful, the orchestra is small - sometimes there is not enough forte. I'll go again!

A wonderful place! Yerevan Cultural Center! I watched Khachaturian's ballet Gayane and had great pleasure. I saw an installation dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov's birth. It's amazing! I highly recommend it!

We were on Carmen. Great voices and costumes. They sing with their soul.
I liked it more than the last 2 operas at the Bolshoi Theater.
The local sparkling wine before the opera and during the intermission for 1k is on the verge of fiction. We took the 12th row. My wife liked it, but I would have taken the 10th. It should not be lower because of the features of the hall.

I definitely visit Yerevan every time I come! Buy tickets in advance, as some performances, Gayane, for example, are sold out in a month. Please note that on the opposite side of the building, where the monument to Aram Khachaturian is located, there is a concert hall named after him. Aram Khachaturian, great concerts are taking place there, the ticket offices are nearby. I had a chance to attend a concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Georgy Garanyan, it was sparkling and unforgettable! Denis Matsuev performed both classical and jazz in a couple of days!

I attended the three-part Ballet Spartacus. I didn't expect such quality. The performance is very dynamic and interesting. The hall deserves special praise. It is in no way inferior to the Moscow and St. Petersburg scenes.

The building, if I'm not mistaken, is in the style of the Stalinist Empire . In a well-preserved condition. Inside, the hall is a little uncomfortable with strange couches , appropriate somewhere in a youth anti-cafe, into which different people fall from different sides.
We watched Gayane A. KHACHATURIAN. I advise you to first read about the changes in the libretto for this ballet from the 30s, I am sure, like us, you will discover a lot of interesting things. It's a pity that there are no such historical things in the program.
Take a fan with you, the air conditioning system is not good. But the costumes, music, performers are wonderful, and as an enchanting finale - an epoch-making Saber Dance! Therefore, here 5 stars are not for the building, but for the troupe and A. KHACHATURIAN.

When visiting Yerevan, it is impossible to appreciate the entire national flavor without visiting the Opera and Ballet Theater! We watched the ballet "GAYANE" - we really liked it! We went to the Opera twice, went to the ballet The Nutcracker and a dance concert dedicated to the anniversaries of the year. Comfortable seats, prices are just pennies compared to Moscow (ballet 1100 rubles, concert 800 rubles in February 2024). The staff is very polite, they treat Russian speakers well. The interior is very clean, beautiful and modern. I'll be happy to come back again.

If you take tickets, you will find comfortable seats on the 8th row of the stalls (it is higher) and the first rows will also be clearly visible (I was afraid that I was too close, I did not take it. As a result, I realized that it was possible to take)

A beautiful building on a beautiful square. Inside, it's modest. This is the first time I've seen burgers in the theater buffet. We watched Spartak very well. I was surprised that, according to the locals, all the protests begin on the square near the theater.

Рекомендую, была в оперных разных городов. Достойно. Видно было отлично с разных мест: и партер, и бельэтаж, и боковые балконы. Особенно запомнилась длинная сцена: дополнительные отсеки по бокам включены в действие. Смотрела премьеру "Турандот". Красиво, мощно, зал провожал долго. Сотрудники вежливые и приятные. Желаю театру финансов, чтобы обновить сидения зрительного зала.

It was interesting to get acquainted with the cultural part of Yerevan and Armenia. We were lucky and 2 days before the ballet we bought tickets for the Nutcracker. An interesting experience) The hall is spacious, the chairs are comfortable. The price in the buffet was pleased.
