We visited this hotel in August 2021. I have very good impressions. The hotel is clean and cozy, very friendly and attentive attitude of the hotel staff, all issues are resolved quickly. Great beach, sea, animation! I would especially like to mention a specialist in working with tourists - Zoya. We only know her name. A true professional, works with a soul, helps in any situation and in any matter, pleasant in communication, sincere and kind person. We are very happy with our vacation! The vacation was a success! Thanks to all the hotel staff!
We are currently in this hotel, very satisfied, wonderful staff, beach, pool, everything is super. Special thanks to the chef, the cakes are delicious, do not tear yourself away. Also, many thanks to the representative of Biblio Globus - Zoya, she is always friendly, will help, will prompt. In the morning, there are always freshly squeezed juices, which you will not find everywhere, I recommend this hotel. There are small disadvantages, they are everywhere, but we are not very picky. If we still fly to Tunisia, then only here. The Internet catches well, the safe is free. Fruits include peaches, watermelons, melons, strawberries, apricots, plums and apples of course. Daily cleaning service.
Great hotel. I will give myself an estimate of 4.5 / 5, because there is nothing perfect), from my wife 4/5, since she does not eat meat, and the food was not very diverse due to the fact that tourists had just started arriving and there were very few of them.
Now for more details. We had a rest from July 03 to 10. Traveling in a pandemic environment makes its own adjustments, which affect not only the hotel, but also the flight.
Before going on vacation, you need to do a PCR test and have a certificate with a blue seal on your hands. You also need to fill out a special form on a special website and print it out. They will be checked at the Russian airport. Right in front of us, people were turned away from the check-in desk because they did not have a printed form on their hands, and were told to call the tour operator to resolve this issue. Otherwise, it's a standard flight. Double-decker Boeing, 540 people, all seats are occupied. They do not feed, they only give water, coffee, tea. That the flight is a cargo and passenger flight (in fact, the most common charter) we knew and didn't worry, the noise all went up when our vacation was coming to an end and we were safely taken home.
We landed. The sun, the heat. Naturally, a crowd of 540 people will be allowed through customs for a very long time, and the hall of stay is very small and people were queuing outside in the sun. Therefore, when checking in online, I advise you to take seats at the beginning or at the end of the plane. In general, in an hour everyone was seated on buses and went to hotels. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive. They were dropped off first, and then picked up last, which is a big plus. Anyone who is in Tunisia for the first time will be shocked by how much garbage there is on the street, it is everywhere, everywhere, but the tourist area is clean.
When checking in, you do not need to stand and wait at the reception desk. They will take your documents and offer you to sit on chairs in a spacious lobby, after which they will call you, put on bracelets, give you keys, for 15-20 minutes. The porter will bring the luggage to the room. The room is spacious, clean, odorless, overlooking the pool and the sea, with a balcony. The furniture is good solid wood, not chipboard, not killed. Spacious bathroom. The TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, plumbing and everything else worked.
When we checked in, there were 30 people in the hotel and it's just a HUGE plus. For those who want a relaxing holiday, now is the perfect time. Quiet, calm, there is no dirt, garbage. Sun beds and umbrellas on the beach and by the pool are always available. There are no queues in the dining room. There are many empty and clean tables where no one has sat before you. The waiters quickly clean everything up and serve drinks, just like in a cafe. There are also no queues at the lobby bar and pool bar. Due to covid restrictions, the a la carte restaurant, the spa, as well as the children's room and children's animation do not work, which is also a big plus, since no one screams or runs underfoot)
In the future, the number of people began to increase. And on weekends, the locals stopped by, but everything was still spacious and free.
The beach is clean, the sand is soft. The sea was stormy for two days, there were waves and it was a little dirty, but then the sea turned perfectly azure-turquoise. For Russians, the sea is warm, they swam calmly. Nearby are jet ski rentals, cheesecake rides, bananas, and more. As I already wrote, sun beds and umbrellas are always free. I advise you not to go to the first row, otherwise the merchants will get bored. There was animation, but it was poor due to the small number of people. Everything is so standard, darts, aqua aerobics, archery, disco in the evening or dancing animators. A gorgeous large swimming pool. Again, there are few people, so it is always free, clean, without admixture of a large amount of yellow substance).
The food left a twofold feeling. On the one hand, due to the fact that there were few people, there was little variety: several types of meat, including grilled. Once they were given grilled lamb liver and meat on a spit, which had a very unusual taste, there are suspicions that it was a camel). There were cordenbloo cutlets, nuggets, grilled vegetables, French fries, baked potatoes, rice, couscous, pasta only in pasta, which is cooked separately, cauliflower and something else I don't remember anymore. Very tasty pizza. Fruits watermelon, melon, plums, peaches, apples, all very tasty. Cakes are a bomb, watch your figure). Due to the fact that there are not many people, the chefs pay attention to the food and everything was delicious and fresh, and no one seemed to be poisoned.
Of the cons. There were few vegetables, there was no simple vegetable salad, and their Tunisian salads for us are a little specific in taste. There was only one type of fish, once they gave tuna fillets, and there was no seafood at all. Olives and dates were not given, but it's probably not the season. Alcohol is local. Beer will go, ala isabella wine. Strong alcohol is better mixed with soda. Imported for an additional fee.
There is nothing to do outside the hotel. Not all hotels, shops and cafes are open. There are few people. You can walk to the port, there are several cafes there, but I did not go into them. Very tasty ice cream is sold in stores. When buying olive oil, see the expiration date, I have not found a fresh one. We bought good dates, but again we need to look at them. Clothes and cosmetics were not interested. There is a pharmacy next to the hotel (10 minutes walk to the right from the hotel, opposite the Zodiac hotel). They understand pentanol, paracetamol, ibuprofen. And I advise you not to skimp on protection from the sun, it's vigorous there. Take the container. Take some food with you back on the road.
In general, the rest was a success, I really liked the hotel, I advise you.
I'm sitting, writing a review, and listening on the radio that new restrictions and mandatory vaccination are being introduced in Moscow. And now I have a fair question. Where is the higher chance of catching the infection? In a hotel where 30-70 people rest, where there are free beaches and empty streets, where all the staff are wearing masks and gloves, and who scrub everything with antiseptic all day, where tourists with negative tests. Or where hotels are packed to the brim, on the beach they sit on each other's heads, they won't crowd on the streets, where everyone doesn't care about social distance and precautions, no one does tests before the trip, and if there are symptoms, then what now not to relax? I'm recharging everyone, but I'll rest myself. The question is naturally rhetorical.
Thank you Tunisia for saving me and my wallet from the resorts of the Krasnodar territory.
Extensive territory, swimming pools for swimming and for sports swimming, a good beach (first line, cleaned of algae), daily housekeeping, large rooms, varied meals. Of the cons: the rooms are not very new, but constant repairs are visible; there is no bar on the beach (a hundred meters to the pool bar), respectively, there is a constant queue at the pool bar, the bartenders are not efficient.
Great hotel, the food is delicious, the beach is good for 4, the animation is weak and I really liked everything if we go back to Tunisia, then only to this hotel
We are currently staying at this hotel. We like everything. There are disadvantages, and where there are none. Take a good mood with you and come. The sea is clean, the food is for every taste, the staff is friendly, the room is cleaned every day. There are a lot of kids of different ages. It is better to take rooms in the garden, quiet, lots of greenery. Animation in French. Everyone understands Russian except the cleaners. In the evening, we walk to the Medina or to the port. I recommend the hotel if you don't look for flaws.
A wonderful hotel, the staff is polite not only to foreigners, but also to Russians. The territory is large, the beach is clean. The food is delicious, the safe in the room is free, I recommend
The hotel is located on the first line, there are 2 outdoor and 1 indoor pools. There are Russian-speaking staff at the reception. The disadvantages would be a rather remote location from the center of Hammamet (about 10 km).
