We had a rest at the end of May.
Pros: proximity to the sea-just outside the gate, nice spacious rooms, cool warm pool.
There are no disadvantages as such, there are shortcomings. During the 7-day stay, cleaning was done only once. Rudeness, as noted in the reviews, was not noticed, the women working there are calm and tactful. I didn't really like the inspection of the room at departure, every little thing was checked, all the linen was reviewed to the smallest detail, as the maid said, the mistress demands it. Such an inspection has never been seen anywhere else. In the kitchen: breakfast is included - it's porridge + pancakes/omelette/casserole, something different every day. Lunches and dinners were not ordered.
The hotel is located on the very edge of the city, there is nothing further. There is a construction site nearby. But in principle it is not very noisy. Overall, I liked it. We lived at a promotional price. For the full price indicated on the website (in season), they would not live there, it is too high.

This is a great place to relax with children! Charming sunsets, on the one hand - mountain views, on the other - clear sea (right at the hotel), entertainment is relatively close, and if by car, then everything is nearby))) the hotel itself has a cafe where breakfast and lunch are cooked at home, a cozy little playroom for kids is provided, and an excellent laundry service. The staff was good, the room was clean, the hotel itself is quite modern. We enjoyed our stay here very much, we even extended our stay)

I would like to recommend this wonderful place to those who appreciate tranquility, cleanliness, comfort, delicious homemade food and plan a vacation near the sea! The beach is 20 meters away. The hotel building was built 4 years ago, everything is thought out, cleanliness in the rooms, on the balcony, on the territory, in the cafe. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Porridge of 2-3 types, scrambled eggs, achma or casserole to choose from. Lunch and dinner on request (shish kebab, grilled fish and vegetables, pilaf). The prices are humane. There is a guarded parking lot. Near the market, dolphinarium.
There is a gorgeous sauna, a warm swimming pool is being built. Long children - trampoline, slides.
The wonderful hostess, Irina, is always in touch, ready to solve any questions. Thank you for a wonderful time! A solid five!

Great hotel! The location is gorgeous! The rooms are spacious and clean! Sea view from the window. Very good-natured and attentive staff! The best hotel, clean, hospitable, delicious, the sea is five steps away! If you want a cool vacation, this is the best place! With children, couples, you will get a safe and comfortable stay! The rooms are clean! Big and comfortable! The sea and the beach are the cleanest, shops are 7 minutes away, I counted it myself! I'm living here now and I really like everything. The staff is very polite. He will tell you everything and show you! It has all the amenities! You can ride a swing, sit on a bench. There is a cafe where you can eat and relax. The sea is very close to the villa. 20 meters away. They even made a trampoline, a playground, a hammock, a swimming pool and a small pool for children!!!The territory is free of cars! There are tables for smoking. The rooms provide towels for the beach, to dry off after bathing in the shower, a folding hair dryer and liquid soap. There are more cameras in the area!!! However, there is one small disadvantage that the food was served to us yesterday cold. My family and I arrived a little late and the barbecue we ordered was cold, but I won't take away the stars. In short, I like everything..

The best thing that can happen to you in Gagra. The Russian sauna at Villa Darina is an absolute delight!
After all the adventures and stresses of a vacation, coming here is like returning to your body and soul at the same time. Honestly, I did not expect that Gagra could have such a cozy, thoughtful and sincere place. Everything is as it should be here.
The steam room is great: the heat is even, the aroma of herbs, everything is classic — and at the same time clean, neat, and fresh. Not a shabby wooden box, as in some places, but a bathhouse made with love. It feels like the owners take care of every detail: from the quality of the brooms to the smell in the room. And yes, the brooms here are simply magical — oak, as in a good Russian tradition.
After the steam room, there is a spacious font where you can cool off, a relaxation area with a blanket and hot tea, and silence around. Everything is arranged so that you exhale and go into another state. I really came out after that bathhouse like a man who had been reassembled. We warmed up, relaxed, rested our body and head.
I would especially like to thank the hosts — they are very friendly, unobtrusive, attentive. They explained everything, showed me, treated me to limoncella, and created an atmosphere in which I just don't want to leave.
If you are in Gagra and do not go to the sauna at Villa Darina, you will lose a lot. I want to come back here. It's not just a sauna, it's a therapy. A real place of power.

What kind of hostess is this and the staff in the dining room, rude and not friendly, no one wanted to go there once again, as we did, the food is in the mood, mostly everything is not delicious, the breakfasts are over-sweetened. We are having a rest for the second year in a row, we like everything and are satisfied, except for the chefs this year. They cook for a very long time (you order at 19:00 and only by 20:00 they will cook for you, while only 2-3 tables are sitting), half of the dishes stated on the menu are not there, and the portions are significantly reduced than that year. Last year, 2023 was much faster and tastier!! We love this place very much, but the cuisine leaves much to be desired unfortunately in 2024 😔

We lived in August 2023 for 5 days, 3 people. The rooms are large, they give out beach towels, with air conditioning, with a hairdryer, there are sun beds on the beach, the breakfast is delicious (porridge, pancakes or eggs, tea/coffee). There is a clothes dryer on the balcony. We lived on the 2nd floor with a balcony and sea view. Large enclosed parking lot. For small children there is a playground, a hammock, a small frame pool. The maids are helpful and friendly. Bed linen and towels are changed in 3 days. There is a shared water cooler and an iron.
The sea is good. There are paid water activities.
Of the disadvantages, it is not close to the city on foot, 20-30 minutes on foot to the market in Gagra, even further to the center. That is, in the heat of + 36 in August, you do not want to go to the store, to a cafe or just for a walk, especially with children. The road is not paved.
The hotel has a cafe, but a set lunch for 400 rubles per person (+ % for service) We didn't like the way it was in the school cafeteria. Although the breakfast was delicious. Plus, they charge 10-15% for the service.
In general, for a beach holiday by car is a great option! Although it is not cheap for Abkhazia.

We had a family vacation in this wonderful place from 3.07-11.07.2023. We arrived at the place very early (at 7 a.m.), Irina, the owner of the Villa, asked us to wait a little so that our room was fully ready for check-in. And at 10 o'clock in the morning we were already unpacking our suitcases. The villa is located in a quiet location on the first coastline. If you like to walk and have fun, then this place is not for you. It's a relaxing family vacation here! We lived in a room in a new building on the second floor (two-room apartment). The room is beautifully and very comfortably renovated, equipped with a small kitchen with everything you need. The bathroom is clean, there is a mirror and a hairdryer. There are no interruptions with water, there is always hot water. Bathrobes and disposable slippers were waiting for us in the closet - everything is like in elite hotels). The cleaning of our room was supported by the maid Tatiana, for which I thank her very much. The linen was changed on the 4th day of our stay, the foot towel was changed every other day. The view from the window was fantastic. Lying on the sofa, you can admire the sunset over the sea. There is a private dining room on site, in which you can undoubtedly eat 3 times a day (breakfast was included in the price (very varied, it includes porridge + or omelette, pancakes, pancakes, sandwiches), lunch we always took the complex, and dinner can be ordered from the menu. It is very convenient that you can order at a convenient time for yourself. The kitchen has great respect, everything is very tasty (we even got better for the rest), special recognition to the waitress Natia (Nastya). Our child, who was always under her attention, was happy to eat the food that his Aunt (as he called her) brought him. Parking for cars is located separately, guarded. We could go for a walk at any time. The villa has a children's pool, playground, trampoline and hammock. And the main thing is the sea is 30 m away, you go out the gate, a few steps and you are already walking along the beach. With a small child, this is the perfect location! Of the disadvantages, only weak Internet can be distinguished. But I think the owners will definitely finalize this point.
There is no doubt that this is one of the best places in Abkhazia with a very open and friendly staff. I immediately remember one case when the lights were turned off due to heavy rains and the kitchen could no longer cook dinner, so Irina organized pilaf on the grill for all the guests, very tasty.We will definitely come to Irina to rest again! I will remember my stay at Darin's hotel for a long time. The most disgusting vacation in the history of my travels. Upon arrival, they checked into the wrong room that I had originally booked. We were greeted terribly, our arrival was clearly not welcome. They were rude to us when we asked for help. The hostess was never seen in person, but she confidently sent us on the phone with the words that "if you don't like something, you can leave." There was no food within a radius of several kilometers. The nearest pyaterochka store pleased us with its expensive and low-quality products, and on the territory of the "villa" itself, the food was offered very expensive and not the best quality, judging by the breakfasts. There were no normal shops in the vicinity, the market to which it took a lot of time to walk through the heat and a low-quality road turned out to be a dump with expensive products. We found the sea dirty, although it seemed that it couldn't be worse, after a heavy rain all the dirty water from the mountains was washed into the sea. The most fun thing is that you can't sleep at night because of noisy generators, as well as the light was not available to us at night, it even turned off during the day, so the presence of a kitchen will not guarantee you cooking and freshness of food in a disconnected refrigerator.
One of the advantages is the friendly attitude of one of the girls from the staff, unfortunately they did not know the name (she met us and helped us arrange our departure.
The exterior of the hotel matches the photos, but no one talks about what's inside.
Do not believe the reviews on the booking, I strongly do not recommend going to this hotel, you will not be welcome there! For 12,000 rubles a day!!, which I paid, you can find more decent options. Don't believe about Mega hospitality either! The people who wrote these phrases did not see real hospitality in this life. And I managed to talk to people who fell into this trap and they had to adapt to this nightmarish vacation because they could not change tickets for the way back home, as we did.

It doesn't often happen that you want to come back, but this place is one of the few where we will definitely come.
To begin with, they met us at the train station. The hotel itself is located in a secluded place. It's a huge plus for us. Silence and few people. At the same time, it takes 15 minutes to walk to the market slowly. The beach is nearby, there was always sun in our place, although it could be cloudy a little higher and further away.
Rooms. Ours was on the 1st floor, very spacious, good sound insulation. With a baby, this is a very nice bonus. Clean, cozy.
The kitchen is great. The hostess Irina herself monitors the process. We've been eating only here all week)
Wonderful staff, the maid Tatiana and the waitress Nastya.
Separately, I want to say once again about the hostess Irina and her husband Aslan, these are wonderful people who put their soul into their work. Thanks a lot to them 🤗

I found this hotel just by searching. First of all, I liked the location - remote, quiet, next to the sea. Perfect. I wrote directly on Whatsapp. I was told that there is a room for certain dates. It costs 6500, breakfast is included in this price. I agreed. They just wrote to me :your full name and payment for the first day. I paid for it. The reservation was made 10 days before arrival. They didn't tell me a word about any booking rules. After 7 days, our plans changed. I wrote to the hostess of the hotel asking if it is possible to return the money? I was told that no, because the cancellation of the reservation is at least 30 days in advance. I said OK, then we'll come for 1 day. But I was told that they do not accept guests for 1 day. I asked the question "why?", they answered me "such rules". That all these rules are written on the booking when booking. But I did not book through him, but directly into the pocket of the owners. Apparently, all the previous reviews about the strict regime hotel are the purest truth and not exaggerated. I am glad that we did not manage to stay there.

Good location. I left the room and went straight to the sea)) There are not many sun beds, but there are (we did not need them). After the sea, you can wash your feet on the territory. There are mountains around, beautiful landscapes. Quietly. The rooms are clean and cozy. (The entrance doors, as for me, are not very thought out, they are not tinted, you can see everything that happens in the room, they are covered with dark curtains, of course, it doesn't matter with the light, but there was a moment of power outage, there was still not enough closet with shelves, bigger mirrors, at least half the height, the TV connection sometimes floundered like and wi fi)
Air conditioning in the room. All amenities: microwave oven, kettle, stove, cutlery, kitchen utensils. Hair dryer. Mosquito fumigator, socket adapter. There are bathrobes and disposable slippers in the closets.
For an additional fee, you can ask for your clothes to be washed.
Breakfasts, lunches, dinners are very tasty, pleasant prices. The first, second and compote))
There are places for children's entertainment on the territory: a slide, a swimming pool, a trampoline.
Closed parking, security cameras everywhere.
Entrance from Lakoba Street. The navigator took a different path and the car got stuck in small pebbles brought after the storm.

I join the reviews about hospitality, tourists are purely a purse for them, we had cleaning for 5! day, the rooms are good, the sound insulation is excellent, the food is so-so. Those who read negative reviews, read about the advantages of the hotel, which are not immediately visible. The location is said to be "on the outskirts", but in fact it is a 10-minute walk to the central market along the coast, noisy entertainment begins there. The poet has a choice: to walk and have fun or listen to the sea in silence, and not worry about the children's sleep. There is always a place on the beach during the day. The beach is very wide. The beach is sandy, then pebbles. The rooms are spacious, excellent sound insulation, air conditioners weigh so that there is no direct flow to any bed, you can leave it all night and the children will not be blown away. Meals - we ate at the hotel. In 3 weeks, the menu, of course, may get boring, but we were offered to cook according to our wishes what is not on the menu. The administration eats the same food, so the chances of poisoning are "0". Those who are familiar with Abkhazia know that it is not worth drinking tap water and swallowing it in the sea. And also buy food with your hands in the heat) And the stomach will be fine. Alcohol prices in the bar are only 20-30₽ more expensive than store prices. The territory is closed, guarded around the clock. There is wi-fi, but to be sure of working remotely, we took our modem. With a local SIM card, the Internet is stable. You can wash your clothes for 100 rubles.
Conclusion: a good place! I want to come again.

When the room was opened to us, we were very disappointed, there was a complete discrepancy between the photo and the real picture. I also asked my daughter to warm up a jar of food that I brought with me, since we were after the road. To which they replied that the kitchen was not working and put the jar in the sun, let it heat up like this! We waited for the hostess of the hotel, if I'm not mistaken, her name was Irina, we thought we could somehow solve the problem, but she flew in and immediately began shouting that if something did not suit you, pack your things and leave. After that, a man came running, who, as we understood, is the husband of the hostess. He also started shouting and waving his arms! They scared my one-year-old child. In general, the problem could not be solved and we were simply put outside with our things. Since it's the season, we barely found a place to stay and, unfortunately, it was no longer Abkhazia. It was not possible to find a place in Abkhazia. We drove to them for 17 hours and then looked for a place to stay until 9 pm with two children! I would never recommend this place to anyone! It's a pity that we didn't read the reviews.

We had a rest in August - September 2022. I didn't like it, except that the hotel is new and clean, there are no advantages. I will join the reviews below, you really feel like you belong to a strict regime camp, the hosts are not friendly, you do not want to contact them once again, they look after you like a small child, so that they do not eat in the room, so that the children do not climb anywhere, etc. The breakfasts are terrible, for 8 days they did not eat anything from their breakfasts. The area around is just a horror, a solid dump. It's not a relaxing place, I would never come back here.

We are not coming to Abkhazia for the first time, there is something to compare it with, we really liked this place, the location is just a fairy tale right next to the sea, that there is a WI-FI network at the edge of the sea, the hosts are hospitable and responsive, they immediately settled us, although we arrived a little earlier, the rooms are very cozy, warm and clean everything has a sea view with good sound insulation, the kitchen is excellent, good menu, excellent staff, my family liked everything very much, thank you very much.

A disgusting hotel. We went there with our family for a day, it was unbearable to stay longer. The communication of the staff is terrible, the hostess was rude, the food was not the first freshness. The room is definitely not worth its 12,000 rubles. The lights are turned off, the water turns on every other time, there is almost no Internet. The most terrible thing is that it is almost impossible to get out of there. The taxi does not arrive, which subsequently forces people to stay in this place for a long time. It reminded me of the beginning of a horror movie. I do not advise it, otherwise you will be stuck there for a very long time and lose a lot of money for nothing!

In less than a day, we were refused a reservation! This is despite the fact that we ourselves showed interest , called in a day to find out everything was fine ! In response: we have to cancel your reservation, your room has fallen into disrepair, we haven't explained anything for sure!!! So we started looking for another accommodation option! There is an assumption that our room, booked 2 months ago , was simply rented to someone more expensive ! And they didn 't even bother to warn us at least a few days in advance ! That is, there could be an option that we would be informed about the cancellation day in, day out, or we would come to them and they would "make us happy"!!!!

Villa of strict regime. You won't be welcome here.
Villa Darina is located right by the sea and has fresh rooms, but, unfortunately, these two great advantages are crossed out from the threshold by the disgusting attitude of the owners. I was met by the hostess Irina, who was very tired and annoyed. No one here will ever smile at you, but, on the contrary, they will endlessly make claims against you. It starts with the fact that you did not finish the porridge at breakfast, then there will be claims for shifted sun loungers on the beach, for asking for an extra sheet… Adult self-sufficient people begin to feel like children in a pioneer camp.
The cost of living is above average, people do not come poor, while the owners do not bother themselves even with more or less suitable breakfasts. They are very meager - porridge (semolina, oatmeal or rice, in a circle) and something made of eggs or dough (pancakes, pancakes). That's all. No one has heard about fruits and vegetables here. The kitchen is generally mediocre in taste and unsafe in fact - we had lunch once, severely poisoned. We decided to share the problem with the hostess - she said that if you don't like it, you don't have to eat at all. By the way, an excellent illustration of my words is already in the reviews on the Booking - see how well the hostess reacts to the claims of the guests.
By the way, we moved from there to one of the hotels near Sukhum - for the same money, the breakfasts were simply gorgeous - a buffet for every taste and color.
And keep in mind, Villa Darina is a mosquito infernal place. Closer to sunset, hordes of mosquitoes will attack you (probably because of the swamps, meadows and garbage dumps around).
And needless to say, when you leave, no one will say goodbye to you and invite you to become their guest again. Well, actually, there is no desire to return.

It's a good place. We rested here with five people (2 adults, children 7, 3 years old and a baby) for the November holidays. I don't know who the authors of the negative reviews talked to, but our staff was friendly and responsive, despite our somewhat special needs. Thanks to Irina and Natalia!
We liked the breakfasts + it was convenient to order dinner from the menu by the time we returned to the hotel (we asked for 20:00) and were full.
