The museum is not for tourists! We arrived during business hours and tried to get into it. There was a man in a bathrobe in the museum who asked: "Who are you?" and when he found out that we were tourists, he said that the museum was not open to the public, that it was necessary to coordinate the arrival with the administration in advance.
From the threshold, the museum looks interesting, but unfortunately, there is no loyalty and customer orientation.
The museum is very interesting. We were passing through Vitebsk, did not know where to go and found information about this museum. In general, as we were told, the museum is exclusively for students, but when we arrived, no one turned us away. The head himself (Lyakh Alexander Leontievich) opened the museum for us and gave us a VERY informative tour. We are sincerely grateful to him for this, it was really interesting. We said that we would leave a review about the museum, he asked us to say that he would never mind giving people a tour, the only thing is to call him in advance and arrange. I wish there were more such teachers in our universities!!
I visited it for the first time during the open day, there, after the meeting, they conduct excursions to various museums and clinics, to show what animals the academy deals with) for me, a schoolgirl at that time, the anatomical museum made a real splash! And the majestic views of the skeleton of an elephant, and the eggs of birds, and an amazing stuffed horse, + the stories of the teachers of the department about the exhibits were remembered for a long time. In comparison, the museum of the VSMU is not a match for it.
After some time, I became a student at the veterinary Academy, and it was extremely pleasant to get back to the museum, change my vision through the knowledge I gained, and take the exam in the same museum)
Still a worthy museum to visit, now it will forever remain in my memories)
