How to get there? From the central Bus station of Gomel, minibuses and buses every half hour. I recommend a minibus of 3.5 rubles. And you are there in 20 minutes. The museum itself is in the city, 10 minutes walk from the bus stop. Tickets are not expensive. But it's better to take a guided tour, otherwise you won't understand or remember anything. Call and make an appointment in advance, maybe you will be with someone. 3 floors of the museum, from the history of the Old Believers to stunning icons. I was fascinated by homespun towels and suits. And books, one of which is from 1646. Ask more questions to the guides and you will definitely like it. As it turned out, different guides with different approaches tell the truth. There is a toilet in the museum. There are souvenirs and books. By the way, two Old Believers' churches have been preserved in Gomel. But you are unlikely to be allowed in. The museum is excellent, one of the most interesting on the topic of folk traditions.

And the richness of the exposition, and the approach to its presentation, and in general, what kind of work the staff does for visitors (both adults and children). These are lectures, master classes and celebrations with rituals. And there is also a huge scientific work to collect, preserve and restore our heritage. The museum also has a branch in Gomel. Очень интересный и самобытный музей. Обязательно нужно посетить. Тема Старообрядчества очень интересна, особенно если учесть что про эту культуру и ответвление Православной реригии не очень-то много известно (имею ввиду прежде всего себя). Думаю каждый попавший сюда из не специалистов в религии и народной культуре найдет для себя ранее не изведанное. Для меня это были оклады икон из бисера.
В музее есть экскурсии, только нужно приезжать имея запас времени до закрытия (экскурсия длится порядка полутора часов). Как запасной вариант можно воспользоваться аудио гидом через QR-код.

There is a desire to explore the native land and come back here again and again.
I have visited the museum with students by profession. The level of presentation of the material is very multifaceted and, at the same time, not intrusive. Everyone has found something interesting and informative for themselves. Such excursions are remembered for many years. Patriotism in an absolutely natural form.

Музей находится на Красной площади г. Ветка.
Здание небольшое, при этом отреставрированное, с живописным фасадом, чистое.
На 1 этаже экспозиция лодок, телега, утварь, предметы быта и обихода, стилизованное рабочее место богомаза, а также иконы Неопалимая купина, несколько икон Богородицы огневидной и др. В соседней комнате собрание окладов.
На 2 этаже коллекция рушников и старообрядческих вышитых женских нарядов; прекрасная коллекция икон, комната с самоварами, комодом, диваном, граммофоном;
На 3 этаже коллекция старообрядческих книг.
Билет на 1 взрослого человека стоит примерно 3 бел.рубля×30=100 росс.рублей.

A beautiful 3-storey museum. If you connect Wi-Fi at the entrance, you get a full audio tour. What is not in it, the caretakers of the hall will answer.
It's difficult to make cool photos, lighting spoils half.
Without a guide (even audio) impressions for 2+. Nothing is clear, but as in the joke "poor, but clean." The signs are not informative, they do not reveal anything. You walk around like a "collection of junk". Without a guide (at least audio) - wasted money.
I especially want to note: when I got Internet access in 2 minutes, I got more information about the building as a whole and about its surroundings than the people working there.

Потрясающе! Это надо видеть. Лучше заказывать экскурсовода( недорого). Билет на взрослого 4р. Удобное расположение, центр Ветки. Всё в шаговой доступности.

Цудоўны музэй, цікавая экспазіцыя. Раю узяць экскурсавода. Дзяўчынка па беларуску ўсё настолькі цікава распавядала, слухалі з задавальненнем, даведаліся шмат новага. Здаецца маленькі музэй, а на агляд экспазіцыі заняло 3 гадзіны. Абавязкова да наведвання.

Александр Сергеевич настоящий профессионал своего дела, который любит свой музей и знает всё до мельчайших деталей.
