My favorite theater in Minsk. An amazing festive atmosphere, a beautiful monumental building, a wonderful troupe and a wonderful symphony orchestra. 3 weeks ago we attended the ballet "Romeo and Juliet". The Mari Opera and Ballet Theatre came to us on tour. I really liked the performance. But we were incredibly upset by the lack of an orchestra. The ballet dancers danced to the recording of musical accompaniment. We were so disappointed. Tickets were much more expensive than for the theater troupe, no one warned at the box office. The symphony orchestra accompanies the performance of the ballet dancers and helps not only to understand the meaning of the performance, but also to immerse yourself in the atmosphere. Very upset
One of the most beautiful and significant buildings in the Republic of Belarus. The Center of Culture and High Art. Modern, expensive, beautiful. Everything is convenient, there is an elevator inside for people with disabilities. Professionals work. Wonderful artists. The costumes are amazing, the scenery is modern. The best orchestra. Thank you very much to everyone for their work, starting from the director and chief choreographer, conductor, troupe artists, artists, costumers, wardrobe workers, assistants and caretakers, cleaners.
I definitely advise those who will be in Minsk to go to the theater. You will be amazed by the interior of the theater. A huge hall, spacious wardrobes and a magnificent hall! The visual spaces are so well positioned that you can see perfectly from any place. We watched the ballet "Three Little Pigs", an unusual reading of a classical story set to music by a modern author. The ballet is light, with beautiful scenery and costumes. Duration is 1.5 hours with intermission. The small audience was involved in the action, the artists repeatedly interacted with the audience in the auditorium during the performance. The artists seemed to have become children themselves and played with pleasure. The gray wolf was beautiful, artistic, charismatic. If you come with children, go, you will like it. There are two wonderful buffets in the theater, the choice of snacks and drinks was pleasantly surprised. The price tag is average, much lower than the capital's Big Ones. I recommend a walk in the park around the theater, the square is large with several sculptural groups, well-maintained, many benches and flowers. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the metro station at a slow pace
The territory near the theater is very beautiful. Especially in summer. A great place for walks, dates; romantic, memorable and wedding photos. The theater building creates an atmosphere of solemnity, celebration and beauty. The feeling of lightness does not leave the theater, the interior inspires, distracting from the mundane, leaving worries outside the walls of the theater. We watched and listened to the opera Carmen. Unfortunately, not to the end - I had to leave the last action, but I had a pleasant impression of everything I saw and heard. A great rest for the soul!
Very beautiful outside and inside. Gorgeous chandeliers. Good buffet, fast service. I was in the chamber hall at the performance of the flute quartet. It's just a balm for the soul. The decoration of the hall is very tasteful, the chairs are more like armchairs, very comfortable. The large hall is decorated in red with gilding, chic, and that's all. I visit at every opportunity. There's a lovely coffee shop across the street. I always combine them.
The monumental building in the constructivist style, together with the adjacent square with a fountain, looks very majestic. Everything is conveniently arranged inside, the hall is comfortable and convenient for the viewer. It seemed to me that the acoustics of the hall were not very good, the sound was quickly dissolving. The chandelier in the hall is modest, does not distract the eye from the performance, as it happens)) there are several buffets in the lobby, the service is fast. Unfortunately, the production we attended, opera-ballet in one bottle, as it seemed, was not at the level of the Bolshoi Theater, the orchestra drowned out the voices of the soloists, and the props in the form of a huge canvas of rustling polyethylene, as I understand it, instead of fabric (at least this impression was created), did not allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the medieval plot) nothing, next time we'll choose another performance)
Undoubtedly 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars! We were in Minsk on vacation, we bought tickets in advance for the Swan Lake on October 9. The theater is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the buffet is decent, the ballet is on fire!!!! There were some asynchronies in the first scene, but it didn't spoil our impression of the action. The costumes are beautiful, the decorations deserve praise too. Orchestra👍💫 Thank you for a wonderful evening, positive emotions and vivid impressions and ! I definitely recommend it!!!
A luxurious theater, built in the USSR in the 30s by Leningrad architects. A strong opera company. I watched Donizetti's "Love Potion" - humor, sunshine, love and delight. In the lobby there is an exhibition of theatrical costumes, antique sculptures, a photo area with a grand piano and an antique dress. The buffet will delight you with fish, sausage, cakes and, of course, drinks. Marble, chandeliers, mirrors will create a real delight!
The stunningly beautiful theater! A real palace. A square, a fountain, a staircase - all this creates a magnificent ensemble. Even if you do not go to the performance, you must definitely watch this ensemble.
The foyer of the theater - white marble walls, floor and columns + crystal chandeliers create an impression of lightness and grandeur. Each tier has its own charms.
The prices in the buffet are quite affordable, there are a lot of tables, if desired, you can book a table for the intermission before the performance.
Theatrically cozy, but at the same time very beautiful "imperial" hall. The burgundy velvet of the chairs and the gold on the curtain are solemn. The hall is designed so that there are no "blind" zones. You can see the stage from all tiers very well. I walked around all the tiers on purpose)).
I watched the ballet "Don Quixote" - fervently, temperamentally, cheerfully.
On October 31, we were at the Bolshoi Theater of Minsk at the Opera Bohemia. It was magical: the performance of the artists, the voices, the scenery. My daughter (she is 17 years old. She thinks and tells everyone that she is not sensitive to human emotions) in the end, she even cried. He's been talking about this opera for several days now. So it's hooked! The energy is amazing! My family and I are in Minsk for the first time and for the first time in this theater. Inside, the theater is cozy, beautiful, and friendly. The performance of the opera artists is beyond praise! A small minus is the running line at the bottom of the stage. No one sees her there. But the great power of opera is that everyone understands everything. If you find yourself in Minsk, I strongly advise you to visit the opera.
There is a wonderful atmosphere inside, the actors simply play their roles flawlessly, there are all conditions for bloggers to remove content outside the performance, since this is prohibited. You can also rent a wonderful pair of binoculars right in the wardrobe, like its cost is 4 rubles, but if you sit too high, like I did once, then it will definitely help you out. In general, a huge recommendation, the only thing is that a glass of Soviet champagne costs twice as much as the bottle itself 😅
The theater is incomparable. A good repertoire. The lobby is clean, bright and large. A good buffet with reasonable prices. The artists play very well. Opera singers have good voices. It's a good gym. In general, the impressions are only positive. I advise you to visit this theater.
My favorite theater, I try to visit it as often as possible. The artists are amazing, the performances are great. I love this theatrical atmosphere. The only drawback is the prices of champagne and sandwiches, well, they are absolutely cosmic. And the prices for productions are always reasonable.
Beauty, everything is monumental, brilliant and expensive-rich. Yes, not a Mariinsky, of course, but very worthy! Big stage, pretty good chairs/rows. One thing did not seem very good - the slope is too small, and if a tall man sat down in front of you, then it will greatly interfere with you. The acoustics are not bad, everything is audible.
I really liked the theater building. Its exterior looks monumental! The interior is also solid and spacious. The hall was a little warmer than we would like (early May). The tickets were inexpensive (about 300 Russian rubles)
I watched King Stach's Hunt. In terms of scenery and scenes, the production is very good, but I can't say that the arias impressed me.
A wonderful theater. We watched the ballet Esmeralda. We really liked the ballet. Decent acting, scenery, beautiful costumes.Bravo. The theater is very pompous and beautiful. In short, Big, he is Big. When traveling to Minsk, we will definitely visit this theater again.
When you go inside, you immediately feel the greatness and history of the place. The architecture is simply gorgeous, the interior is richly decorated, and it all adds a special atmosphere. Ballet and opera are at the highest level – performance is always on the verge of mastery. Even if you're not a fan of the classics, it's still breathtaking how everything is thought out and executed
We were at the opera, we really liked it, the sopranos are separately pleased without screeching (the voices of the entire troupe are gorgeous). Tickets should be taken in advance, on the day of the performance the hall is full (for tourists who decide to go suddenly). Ticket prices are low, the buffet will be much more expensive. We were surprised and pleased by the ovation (well deserved) after the performance, the audience applauded for 3-4 minutes and did not run to the wardrobe. We will definitely visit again.
A great place to enjoy art!
We were at a concert on Independence Day, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus, great!!!
The architecture is super!
The parking lot is huge!
The fountains are super!
I recommend you to visit!!!
A beautiful theater building, affordable ticket prices.
We visited the ballet "Corsair".Beautiful costumes and scenery, a classic production.
The high level of ballet dancers. The best impressions remained.
The theater is beautiful, snow-white, white marble inside, spacious, bright. We watched the ballet Corsair. After the Mariinsky Theatre, I would like to criticize the level of performance, but I will not. The performance is very colorful and still left a good mood. And tickets are more affordable than we have at the Mariinsky Theatre for ballet.
The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre in Minsk is the largest in Belarus.
White marble, red velvet and crystal create a feeling
of restrained luxury.
A beautiful, cozy auditorium with tiered balconies and a modern stage allow viewers and classical lovers to enjoy opera and ballet art.
We were on 04/16/2024, at the opera Samson and Delilah. Complete delight! In addition to the wonderful opera, the theater itself should be noted. It is perfectly renovated, beautiful from the outside, magnificent inside. Beautiful hall, comfortable chairs. There are a lot of buffets and places in them, queues are minimal. The foyers with the cloakroom are excellent, the staff is friendly and friendly.
Everything is very positive, a well-organized theater and a wonderful production!
Opera tickets are available, you can buy them at any time. To the ballet, they say it is impossible. I liked the theater very much both outside and inside, especially since it has recently been renovated. Inside there is an exhibition of costumes from different performances and 3d models of the scenery. But, unfortunately, from some places exactly half of the stage is visible (the upper seats on the last tier, for example). It is convenient that the text slider is located under the stage and not above - you do not need to look up and down.
Corsairs from Moscow specially came to the ballet. An excellent symphony orchestra. The ballet group was slightly behind the music level. I am not a super expert in ballet, one might even say a layman, but the lack of synchronicity in some paintings is clearly striking. I couldn't take my eyes off the hanging thread like macaroni on Medora's dress in the fourth picture. Thank God, after the third dance, someone must have noticed her behind the stage too!!! I will note Ali's dance, it was great. But in general, everything is very cool! We had a great pleasure with our family. In no case do I want to underestimate the work of the team. Thanks!!! I would especially like to note the cleanliness, beauty and comfort in the foyer of the theater. But this is probably a national feature of Belarusians!!! Thanks again!!!
A beautiful theater. The knowledge is monumental, majestic. Photo zones are decorated inside. We watched the ballet Cinderella. The costumes and decorations are bright and colorful. The soloists dance beautifully. The atmosphere is fabulous.
The theater is beautiful and majestic, as befits a Large One. What struck and pleasantly surprised me was the affordable, unlike in Moscow, ticket prices and in the buffet + of course the performance itself. I definitely recommend it not only to theater lovers, but also to guests of the city who are considering which places to visit.
My favorite theater! I recommend that all guests of the capital definitely visit this iconic place and watch the ballet. I've reviewed almost the entire ballet repertoire. Unfortunately, the productions have been repeated lately. Such performances as "Anastasia", "Six Dances", "Shadows", "Vitovt", "Anyuta", "Scheherazade", "Passion" ("Ragneda"), "Esmeralda", "Laurencia" and others disappeared from the posters, which adequately represented the main theater of the country and outstanding choreographers, in particular first of all, Elizariev, Troyan, and which I would like to review. It is important that the repertoire does not become scarce, but only enriched.
A wonderful theater! Beauty, cleanliness. The ball at the premiere of the play "Cinderella", the impression was excellent, I received a lot of pleasure. The scenery is magnificent, and the performance is beyond praise. It is a great pleasure to visit the opera house!
I love this place, cozy, graceful, beautiful view of old Minsk. Well, and most importantly, I love ballet and opera. Lavish interior decoration, wonderful stage, scenery, symphonic orchestra. Wow!!!
The Bolshoi Theatre, as one of the main attractions of Minsk, is recommended for art lovers! Beautiful, large-scale, culturally and inexpensively! We took tickets in advance, about a month before the trip and were pleasantly surprised by their cost, they gave 90 rubles for two tickets (this is about 2,700 rubles). In comparison with the cost of housing for the New Year holidays from 16 thousand rubles per day, the price of a ticket to the Bolshoi pleased))
We watched the Bat in a comedic interpretation)) The voices are gorgeous, the actors don't have much dancing))
A great place for those who, like me, adore ballet.
Favorite productions are "Romeo and Juliet" and "Creation of the World".
I will also note the beauty and aesthetics of the outside and inside. It's just nice to be here.
A diverse repertoire. It's very beautiful inside, comfortable chairs and their location in the stalls (I can't say about the rest of the seats). Polite, friendly staff. They gave the "Bat", we really liked the performance.
The pearl of Minsk.Beautiful interiors for beautiful art.You should always drink a glass of sparkling wine at a local cafe to create a joyful mood.Be sure to walk through the halls and corridors in beautiful, elegant clothes and a great mood is provided :)
A magnificent place, always in full delight after visiting, the performances are one better than the other. On New Year's Eve, a fair is organized, classical music is playing on the street, houses with mulled wine, croissants, etc. near the fountain area. goodies, New Year's accessories.
The Bolshoi Theatre is a must-visit if you have come to get to know Minsk. A huge building, lots of light and air. It is better to come here an hour before the performance to go to the buffet (it is inexpensive here), walk along the floors and look at the columns, chandeliers, paintings, busts of Roman emperors, take a photo on the stairs, etc. We were here for the ballet Swan Lake and the opera Carmen. The audience is grateful - they applaud the artists for a long time and from the bottom of their hearts. We will definitely come here again on our next trip to Minsk 💪
A monumental building, a beautiful auditorium, comfortable seats. The occupancy rate is 100 percent. Tours of various theaters . Unfortunately, it was not possible to see the artists of the local ballet and opera . I advise you to visit.
We were at the Opera "Iolanta". I really liked it. I was impressed by the costumes, the scenery and of course the solo parts, the music. There is text in Russian and English on the screen under the stage, which is very convenient. The program costs 4.5 rubles. It's very beautiful inside. The opera is two-act, the acts are short for less than an hour, perfect for hiking with a child. The atmosphere is wonderful.
The Bolshoi Theatre, we haven't been inside, it's a very beautiful majestic building outside. You can sit in the park, look at the fountain, enjoy the architecture and relax
A very beautiful theater, perfectly restored. During the performance, ventilation copes with its task. I am very pleased with the visit. There are many cafes inside, reasonable prices.
I visited the Bolshoi Theatre, and it was unforgettable! Magnificent architecture, luxurious interiors and amazing acoustics. The production is at the highest level — it takes your breath away from the first minutes!
A wonderful theater! We were in Minsk as tourists and really wanted to go inside. We bought tickets on the same day. By the way, the cashiers are very polite and helpful.
True, we got to the ballet tour, but we were delighted. The theater itself is in very good condition and very beautiful inside. I definitely recommend you to visit.
The Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre is a national treasure. After the recent restoration, the interiors, acoustics, and the stage itself are wonderful. Excellent musicians, singers, and artists. Tickets are always in short supply
I was in October 2024 at Lebedinoye.
I really liked it.
I was sitting in the stalls on the 14th row.
I usually don't take such places, because it's hard to see because of the heads of the people sitting in front. But there was no choice, because I took the ticket at the last moment.
Everything is visible perfectly! There is a great angle of inclination of the floor in the stalls! And the chairs are installed strictly in a staggered order.
Everything is perfect!
The hall was designed by an expert in his field!
I really liked the swan! An incredibly flexible ballerina. I don't remember the last name (the last one in the list of 4 possible performers is the part - without any titles and regalia).
I also want to mention the costumes of the entire troupe! This is a complete delight!
Bravo to the scenery too!
The light is magnificent!
The most unusual thing is the glossy white scene! It looks very beautiful and elegant!
There are also backstage tours in the theater. Unfortunately, I did not get to it (tickets must be purchased in advance and ONLY at the box office of the theater). Of course, this is inconvenient, because this event is very popular and it is difficult to buy a ticket.
Minsk is lucky with the theater! Actually, the repertoire here is very different, we got to the ballet, just because we had not been to the ballet for a long time and coincided with a visit to Minsk. The atmosphere is excellent, the detailed and very beautifully restored building both externally and with interiors sets a very solemn atmosphere. A lot of buffets are scattered on the floors so as not to create a stir. The prices are quite reasonable, both for tickets and in the buffet.
The hall is comfortable with a good slope - the audience in front does not block the view. Wide aisles, generally nice. The area in front of the theater with a fountain is also great.
The toilets are large and clean.
I'm definitely not a critic of art and I won't review a specific production, I'll just say that I liked everything.
A beautiful theater, courteous staff, a buffet. We watched the ballet Esmeralda, the hall is full, there are no empty seats, we bought tickets on the website for two weeks. I liked the artists, the ballet is wonderful and beautiful. I recommend all guests of Minsk to visit this theater.
