I was lying there a year ago, the child's doctor was the Head of the department. I am very grateful to her for her support and help. A doctor with a big heart and soul. Even after I was discharged, I called her, because I didn't quite understand the discharge recommendations, and she answered and explained everything to me. Yes, the conditions for moms are not very good, but you can live knowing that you are not at the resort, but here they help children. The janitors are very nice women, also special thanks. Even a year later, when I visit Schrider, I go on watch just to talk. They are like family people. Do not be afraid, the main thing is that the child feels good. I was just lucky and I only stayed there for 10 days. Well, those who lie for a long time, I believe it is very difficult, because you hardly sleep.
Hello, maybe my post will be useful to someone. I had to stay in the 11th ward of the children's hospital - the department for premature babies. Upon learning that I was being transferred from the maternity hospital to the 11th ward, I immediately, naturally, started reading reviews, what I read shocked me, and I cried for several days. Therefore, my review will not be so frightening.
Yes, the conditions in the department for moms are not very convenient: there are no sockets in the wards, boiling water is not enough for everyone, there are no rooms for mom and baby to stay together, you can not go outside, the friendly attitude of the hospital staff is not always. Plus, of course, a very tough regime:after every 3 hours to feed the child, 1-1.5 at best remains for rest. Naturally, it is very exhausting, you sleep 3-4 hours an hour a night. Constant nerves, worries, the atmosphere is tense. Moms often cry, someone lies for a month or even more. Children have terrible diagnoses. All this, of course, is depressing. Life in the department is like Groundhog Day.
but!!! The manager's attitude to her patients, children, is attentive and responsible. This person will tell you everything about your child, calm you down, and support you. A person gives himself 100% to work.A very pleasant woman and a wonderful specialist. Some moms do not understand that the department is FOR CHILDREN AND FOR CHILDREN, and mothers there were only allowed to lie down and be with the child. No one keeps moms there by force. The medical staff does not want to waste time on clarifying relations with mothers, their task is to treat and save OUR CHILDREN. We should be grateful to them for that.
My advice to moms, from my experience: take a good breast pump with you, express yourself faster - more time to sleep, buy a power bank - sockets are all in the hallway, and there are not so many of them; try not to cry and not be nervous - the children feel everything, and the milk will disappear; if the child is on the mixture, it is better to buy his own. Yes, it's difficult, but for the sake of soap you forget about everything, and the days fly by unnoticed.
During their stay in the hospital, a priest came to the mothers and everyone read a prayer together for all the family members of each woman, which, to be honest, is really important. When your child is sick, even an unbeliever turns to God for help. An employee of the Republican Public Association of Parents of Premature Babies came, who answered all the questions, left contacts, offered to join their association so that in the future the mother of a premature baby could find support in their person and not be left alone with her problem.
But I would like a psychologist and a breastfeeding specialist to work with moms sometimes. Some mothers were simply out of their minds from grief, and some even ran home, leaving their child for treatment.
This assessment is only because of the medical staff, doctors and good conditions for children.
Of the minuses in the wards, mothers can blow out of the window, there may be cameras in the ward, the shower is not very (thank you for having such a one). Children are separated from their mothers.
