We visited this place with friends during the New Year holidays. We were pleasantly surprised. A table was quickly picked up for our company of 9 people, the menu was promptly brought and the order was accepted. The national cuisine is very tasty. They cook quickly and efficiently. The waiting time is 15-25 minutes, depending on the workload of the hall.
The price tag is at the level of the Russian Federation, the average dish is 500-600 re. We visited twice in 5 days, the average check is 80-90 byn, taking into account the light filtered))), for ours - 2500-3000 for two adults + a child.

Anastasia, the administrator, came with a displeased face, and when asked to help us navigate the menu and calculate approximately how much the banquet would cost us, she said with displeasure that we ourselves had a calculator. Before that, we visited 4 establishments and the administrators were interested in us. But here, apparently, the institution is not interested in visitors. I believe that such people should not work with the public. I don't think it's pleasant for a person who has come to plan a holiday to deal with a disgruntled and rude administrator.

Before the evening, we searched for a long time for a place to go. We asked our friends, everyone was categorically against Cornflowers, you try it once and you won't come back. But fate turned out differently.... We came to cornflowers, but they wouldn't let us in at the entrance, they said there were no tables. We waited 20 minutes and the staff walked around with such a dissatisfied look, like what are we waiting for here, we want to go home, and not serve you yet. But 20 minutes later, we were seated at one of these empty tables, and we were very surprised. We ordered food and at that moment people came to the remaining empty tables, we asked them if they had booked or not? To which they replied that they were just passing by and came right in... The waitress was as polite as possible, there were no questions for her, she did everything quickly and efficiently, but the kitchen was terrible... It's just that the dishes are on hot oil, the sausages are frozen several times, there's no taste, the draniki simply cannot be described in words, it's impossible to eat. The salad with a rotten cabbage leaf, the dishes (especially the cups) were simply rinsed, they were stained and dirty, but the waitress smoothed out the moment and brought others. A cornflower latte is something ordinary 3in1.... In general, I'll never go there again in my life, it's not for nothing that everyone says that the kitchen is for one time, try it and never visit this canteen again.

Alcohol is available in any volume. Hippo cooks for a very long time, there is not always alcohol, the portions are so-so. The only thing for which is a solid 5 for the work of the waiters. They try in every possible way to compensate for the cooking time and the quality of the food. Of all the cafes in this chain, the cafe in Hippo is, in my opinion, the most miserable in the world...

There were only negative impressions from visiting this "restaurant". More butter than the food itself, which turned out to be tasteless, everything smelled of rancid oil, not the first freshness. I sat down at a table next to the office, where the kitchen itself was apparently located. I have not heard such obscenities yet, a couple with children were sitting at the next table, who also had to listen to all this, and then they couldn't stand it and came over to make a remark. Is this worthy of visitors to an institution that is not particularly passable? We should stick with each client, and not scare them away with smelly oil and three-story obscenities.

What I liked: serving dishes, sauce, herbs, everything is beautiful and delicious. Polite friendly staff. The table is not bad, other visitors did not interfere.
What I didn't like: the atmosphere and the atmosphere. They are for an amateur and personally I don't like this. A mosquito got to us from somewhere and prevented us from eating. Not far from the table, the waiters were talking to each other and it was audible. The dish was served too hot in the container in which it was baked - it is very easy to get burned. But these are all small things, and a minus point for the menu. There are practically no positions for vegans, vegetarians and pescetarians.

Good restaurant and excellent service. I ordered: A frying pan with hunting sausages - delicious sausages, eggs are fried just like I do myself (with a crispy crust and almost solid yolk), only stuck to the edge of the pan, which makes them a little uncomfortable to eat, potatoes are a little small, but overall very tasty; Beer set - very tasty sausages and bread, but nuggets are still tastier in fast food (KFS, Burger King); Dessert is Lazy - only ice cream can be used with one fork, and it may be too viscous and sweet for someone, but I liked it; Watermelon lemonade with cucumber - the taste of cucumber is almost not felt, a lot of ice and also, to my surprise, there was one strawberry that gave more flavor than a cucumber.
In total, it turned out to be 50 rubles and very tasty, I'll come back again on occasion

An excellent cafe in the national style, delicious Belarusian cuisine, the portions are large and hearty, the cook knows the business, everything is delicious and you want to try a bunch of different dishes. The service is at a decent level, the waiting time is normal and goes unnoticed while you consider the situation, the atmosphere is friendly and positive. When visiting Belarus, I recommend going in and trying the famous draniki, they are able to cook them here and you will definitely not be disappointed.
