We are fans of pilaf and finally found the right one in Belgrade, with good meat, rice, and spices. We also tried shashlik, horovac, manti, and Tashkent tea. Everything was really good and tasty.
The first thing we look for in a new place or in a new country is Uzbek food (since my husband and I grew up there).
And we finally found pilaf and shish kebab "like in Tashkent"!
Crumbly rice, soft meat, the perfect combination of ingredients for pilaf.
The most delicious Tashkent kebab.
A cool Baklava (Baklava) with the same crust that we remember from childhood.
And of course — tortillas from a real tandoor!
Tashkent tea.
Special vinegar for samsa and lagman.
In addition, there is lagman (Uighur), beshbarmak (from the Kazakh!) and their menu is developing, new items are being added)
The guys do everything according to the canons: they write out chefs from Uzbekistan or those who have proven that they can work at a high level with the national cuisine, find products or make them themselves if there is no such thing here (for example, they make suzy themselves in order to cover the tortillas, and that is why they turn out to be correct).
The only thing they are improving so far is manta rays! Therefore, if you take them, ask if they have made them better)
The place has a very nice design, Russian-speaking waiters are present, there are places both inside and on the veranda.
They can do catering and cook pilaf for the company to order.
The prices are a bit high, as in any non-Serbian place. But we are always ready to pay for the taste from our homeland!)
And this place has a collection of the best Serbian wines and raki!
We have been waiting for the appearance of authentic Uzbek cuisine in Belgrade for several years, and our expectations have been fulfilled: it is very tasty!
We tried two types of samsa with lamb (the traditional triangle tastes better), aychuchuk, salad of baked vegetables, shish kebab and pilaf: everything is fine :)
Be prepared that the pilaf will have to wait, but it's definitely worth it. 🤩
