It's an amazing place. One of the best, clean and equipped in Abkhazia. There are even trash cans! The walking path is perfectly thought out, there are no heavy descents / ascents. On the territory of the cafe.
The path through the gorge passes through wooden and concrete bridges with handrails. It can be slippery in places. Preferably good shoes.
The whole way passes along incredible paths with stunning views, a light haze from the water gives a special atmosphere
The only negative is the so-called "wall of desires", a disgusting sight. They knit all sorts of things, bags, napkins, pads, even panties are hanging!!! People, stop!!!!
A picturesque gorge with a very unusual cafe. There is a completely normal paved road to the gorge, there is Parking, entrance is 300 rubles. The entire route through the gorge will take about an hour there and back. On the way, you can walk over a suspension bridge, walk between gazebos "hanging over the gorge", see a waterfall and a beautiful mountain river, climb into a cave and walk through a forest overgrown with moss. Well, on the way back, have a snack at the Assir cafe. Tables and gazebos are located on a very large territory and it looks impressive. But it does not have a very positive effect on waiting for an order. We go there out of season. The season is probably even more intense. I didn't really like the food itself. Still, you need to go here for food for the soul, and you can eat elsewhere. It is normal for children from the age of 4 here, but strictly monitor, since the paths can be slippery, and the fence is not safe everywhere.
There are many similar gorges in the mountains, but everything is pretty well equipped here. There is a free toilet on the territory, many cafes. The price tag in the cafe is expensive, but you can have a snack. You can even walk along the trail with children, but be careful. We walked to the end of the equipped area. Then a real mountain trail begins, it is not clear where you will go further and what to expect from the mountains, we did not dare to go.
Chernihiv gorge is located in the Sukhumi district near the village of Agudzera. On the way to Chernihiv there is the Markhiaul mineral spring (L.P. Beria was born in the village of Markhiaul), where you can collect healing water, the properties of which are legendary. Chernihiv is a unique place in its beauty and atmosphere, where the Assir restaurant is located in the gorge, located on a wooden platform among waterfalls and boulders. In the restaurant you can order dishes of Caucasian cuisine or just a cup of delicious coffee, admiring the clear and transparent waters of the Machara river, which descends along its course through the entire territory.
At different heights from the bottom of the canyon through which the river flows, there are many wooden paths and observation decks to make it easier for visitors to enjoy the surrounding nature. River rapids create the impression of waterfalls as the water falls from different heights. You can climb the stone steps even higher and look at the entire complex from a height.
A magical and amazing place! A place for a mandatory visit)) It's not a problem to get there by car, there are small areas without asphalt, but not global ones. Amazing magical nature, as in the whole magical Abkhazia! The place is beautifully equipped, as much as possible, but even this is enough for impressions and wonderful photos. We never expected to see such beauty somewhere in the mountains))
A great place for outdoor enthusiasts. It's not like hiking or climbing. Just a walk along narrow mountain paths under overhanging rocks and rickety bridges surrounded by moist forest and relict mosses, which will surely be appreciated by restless boys and dogs. The stones you have to wade through are wet and slippery, so it's better to replace frivolous sandals or slates with practical sneakers. Despite the hot day, the tennis gorge is cool from the river, bubbling over the rifts with icy water. Moss covers rocks and trees with bizarre caps, easily competing with its counterpart from Saiho-ji (Kyoto). Not a little excitement along the way was caused by domestic animals, especially piggy and a huge bull, trying to rub sideways against cars left in the parking lot.
A great attraction. We drove our car without any problems. Large parking lot. There are tracks throughout the route. However, some are very narrow and slippery from the water. So it's better to hold the children's hands. There is one problematic place, it is very difficult for an aged person to move. After that, there are great views. Maybe they'll do something about this place... Definitely worth a visit.
A piece of Paradise on earth. A very beautiful and unusual gorge with high cliffs, a fast river, rapids and waterfalls. Convenient paths and ladders. There are many viewing platforms for beautiful photos. The food is very tasty in the restaurant at the entrance (kebabs, khachapur and mandarin juice must be tasted!!!), there are also shops with good souvenirs. A must-visit! There are Olginsky waterfalls a little higher up the same road. They are also good, but the paths there are more dangerous and not so clean. Although the waterfalls themselves must be watched. You can plan on the same day with Chernihiv, but in such a way that you can have lunch / dinner in Chernihiv.
Beautiful places are definitely worth a look, the route is not easy, especially where it goes into the forest part, be ready to climb over rocks, rhizomes, preferably in comfortable shoes. For the elderly and children, half of the route is without problems, but the second part is traumatic. It was a pity to look at the grandmothers who were lowered and they stubbornly climbed turning their feet on slippery stones. There are a lot of tourists, the paths are narrow, it's hard to disperse in many places,
An incredible place 🥰
There is Parking for cars (free), entrance is 200 rubles, there is a small stamp, a cafe and a toilet in the entrance area, then the beauty of nature begins)
Small lakes, mountain rivers making their way through the stones, a waterfall, a dense forest. Everything is very beautiful. There are several benches on the rise. An amazing place to escape from the heat
The place is interesting. A slightly gentrified mountain river. A convenient passage along the gorge has been made, you can photograph through the handrail and there will be a completely natural landscape. There are a lot of benches, although there are also quite a few people. They mostly bring groups, i.e. no one stays for a long time. I've seen lanterns, maybe even more interesting in the dark... At the entrance of the cafe and the convenience store. Come on, it's beautiful...
A gorgeous place to visit, for those who love and dislike nature, everything fascinates - you will not regret it! After a walk through the gorge, sitting in a cafe in nature near waterfalls and tasting Abkhazian (and not only) cuisine is something!!!
There is a more impressive nature in Abkhazia, but if you have already seen everything, you can come here. Entrance 300r September 24. The route is short, about an hour and a half, the trails are narrow, you often stand in line to let the oncoming stream of people pass. There are difficult sections of the trail where it is very slippery, it is better to wear comfortable shoes. At the end of the route, you can go down to the river and swim, the water is of course icy. It's frustrating that people think of leaving empty bottles or cigarette butts in such a place. There are cafes and shops at the entrance.
A wonderful place!!! We went by car, parking is free. The entrance to the gorge itself is 300 rubles per person. At the entrance there is an apatcha, a cafe, a snack stall and a shopping area. There is WiFi. There is an equipped trail with points for photographing in the gorge itself. There are many corners where you can just sit and enjoy nature. I definitely recommend you to visit!
Let's start with the parking lot, it is there. Further, the entrance is paid, like most places in Abkhazia. The entrance to the gorge is through a beautiful cafe decorated with natural stones. The gorge has bridges, terraces and observation decks, benches and benches for recreation. The whole gorge is surrounded by greenery, which is very beautiful and pleasant in hot weather, there are places where you can go down to the river, wash, drink some water. There are small natural and artificial waterfalls. It is better to visit in sports shoes, it is convenient when walking along trails on an inclined surface, and to lay at least 1.5-2 hours of time. I recommend it, it's a very beautiful place.
The place is amazing, we've been there many times, we liked everything. In 2024, we were returning from eastern Abkhazia and decided to stop by for lunch, as we had done many times and at the same time paid only a symbolic hundred rubles for parking a car. And this year they wanted to rip us off at the entrance of tristo re from the nose, it turns out half a penny from the family, we just say to eat and pay for the table at least 5k-7k, but we will not go along the route because we saw everything more than once. To which we were given the answer pay the entrance fee, after which we turned around and left. It is a pity that such amazing places lose their attractiveness due to the greed of local dealers. Because We lived in Pitsunda, we reached the rest of the Abkhazian courtyard (with a glass bridge over the Bzyb river) that on the way to the ritsa, by the way, is very conveniently located before paying the environmental fee. And they had a wonderful dinner there without any additional charges!!!
It's very beautiful, we were there on our own, without a tour. Nature is magnificent! As an additional bonus, there is a suspended pedestrian bridge. The tables in the cafe are located on different levels, the food is delicious, they did not wait long.
Great place! I recommend it to everyone who loves beautiful nature! Everything is well equipped, you can walk everywhere for the elderly and children, the paths are a little slippery in places, so wear comfortable shoes. Very beautiful views and places for photos.
A beautiful place where natural natural beauty is complemented by artificial, that is, cafes and gazebos are comfortably and picturesquely located at the beginning of the gorge. They gave only 1 hour for the tour, so I had to take pictures and shoot on the run, hoping to see the houses later. The guide did not lead along the trail, although it was 1, but still it was strange why he did it then - it was easier to come yourself and not rush anywhere. 400 of the 600 m equipped trail. In June, there was not enough water, as I realized the flood happens in January, Feb
A wonderful place, fresh air, beautiful wooden and metal passages, waterfalls, photo shoots are simply fantastic, you can have a snack in beautiful gazebos. A good place to relax with the whole family.
Well, a very beautiful and picturesque gorge! The river, waterfalls, fonts with blue water. There are equipped paths (those who walk with children), there are benches, urns. But you can also go a little further into the gorge along green paths, and then plunge into the font of a mountain river.
The most picturesque place in Abkhazia! Clean and fresh air, the sound of water falling from the mountains, dense crowns of trees (all in greenery) create an amazing impression of this place. You can also sit and eat near the waterfall. I recommend everyone to visit this location in Abkhazia (but in no case use the services of the tour company Amra96 - signalman Aishulpan Burambaevna K and the guide-fraudster Anri Rufbeevich X)!❤️👍👍👍
The most memorable walk. Swimming in a mountain river. A safe trail throughout the entire route, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Beautiful views. The cost of visiting the gorge in 2024 is 300 rubles per person. Children under 12 years old are free of charge.
A very beautiful and picturesque place, beautiful nature and the road that leads to Chernihiv. But there is one big "but" — lack of equipment. Yes, in the beginning everything is very beautiful: cafes, paths, a suspension bridge, but what comes next is terrible. The paths are very narrow, with collapsed "pockets" in places, in which such a large flow of people would be able to disperse. A few hundred meters from the beginning there is no road at all, only stones, but people still walk, it's beautiful. Very traumatic places.
In general, the passage to the gorge is not organized at all and is sometimes traumatic.
From what I visited, the Chernihiv gorge left the most pleasant impressions.
It is really improved and is constantly being improved, the hiking trails are also maintained in order.
An adequate and very low entry price tag compared to other places. Free parking with security: probably there is no such thing anywhere else in Abkhazia. This is the only place where there was no feeling that they were just ripping off money and making money. Everything is done with the soul and from the heart
A beautiful place, worth a visit, especially on a hot afternoon - a breath of freshness and coolness. Very cool houses hanging above the water in the cafe. My son liked the wooden rope bridge. The river in the gorge has made its way through a very beautiful ornate path, with grottoes. The camera does not convey all the beauty of the gorge
I've been to Abkhazia several times, but I couldn't get to Chernihiv in any way! And finally I got to this wonderful magical gorge!! What a beauty it is!! It's just a delight!! This beautiful river with blue-turquoise water, these swirls of its banks!! This is a magical and mysterious forest overgrown with ivy and moss!! These endless ladders, wooden houses above the water, these waterfalls, a watermill, beautiful gazebos where you can have a delicious meal and drink delicious coffee on the sand! Thank you to the people who created such beauty in the gorge!! I will definitely return there, I hope more than once!!!
We took a minibus from the city of Sukhum. 1000 rubles . Per person, the price includes round-trip travel and payment for the entrance to the gorge. The time is 2-3 hours for sightseeing.
We went at an unfortunate moment, there was a heavy downpour in the morning, but we didn't want to cancel the trip. In general, everything went great, but it was very damp, the route was difficult for me because of the wet ground, because I went in sandals. And the river was very stormy and full-flowing, and sometimes it was difficult to pass some places. But of course, the impressions were only positive, a very beautiful gorge, and the cafe at the entrance is also impressive. It's cozy and big, we didn't even go around the whole territory. I should have left.
It is a very picturesque place. A miracle created by nature, in the past a Soviet hydro station founded during the Second World War in 1942. Very beautiful. You can swim in the mountain river.
Chernihiv Gorge is a picturesque place in the vicinity of the capital of Abkhazia.
It is the bed of the stormy mountain river Machara, flowing along the rocks. The stones here are bare in places, overgrown with moss in places. Lush subtropical greenery grows on the shores. In places, river rapids turn into small waterfalls. Beauty🫶
The road is not very good in the gorge, but you can drive a car. Entrance to the gorge is paid, 300 adults, 150 schoolchildren. The entrance is through a large cafe with gazebos.
The location itself is a combination of a mountain river with natural rapids, whirlpools, waterfalls and artificial channels, pools, waterfalls. There are many viewing platforms. The trail is first concrete, then turns into a narrow slippery clay-rocky path along the cliff above the river. Take normal shoes!
Especially hot ones can swim, there is an approach to calm water. The water is very cold!
A beautiful gorge, a lot of separate gazebos where you can eat, but the prices will not please everyone, the gorge itself is not fully equipped for visiting, there are places difficult to pass, especially for small children and for the elderly, but you can pass, 4 stars for not equipping trails
Impressive! Reservoirs in combination with the natural landscape, equipped paths, bridges. It is very beautiful and unusual. You can swim in the mountain river.
Entrance is 300 rubles per person, large Parking lot. Everything is refined. We took a walk, took pictures, and had a delicious meal in a cafe nearby. The views are awesome, we liked it
It's beautiful, the pedestrian zones are equipped, there are obstacles in places where you need to climb, but we managed from small to large
For now, you can go down on the rocks and take photos, and in the sultry heat go into the river and cool off
An atmospheric place, the route is not difficult, you can swim in a mountain river / stream, sit and meditate on rocks near the rifts, walk along mountain trails, suspension bridges. It's cool even on a hot day.
It's a great place. The trail along the gorge is not poorly equipped. There are many places for interesting photos. My children liked it very much. You can also buy souvenirs and have a snack in the cafe
Very beautiful waterfalls, a cool rope bridge, the entrance is not expensive, the only rocks were slippery, so choose comfortable shoes! You can go down and wash your face with cool water🙂
I advise everyone. Waterfalls, the beauty of nature. It is better to travel in dry weather and in comfortable shoes. There are interesting views of nature behind the cafe. Very beautiful.
The most favorite place in Abkhazia! The best thing about this place is the coolness, and of course the indescribable natural beauty!!! We have been here more than once, and every time I want to come back here
A great place, beautiful nature, there are cafes, souvenir shops. To visit, it is better to put on sneakers, it is better to go in the afternoon in hot weather, it is cool there.
They were in the middle of September 2024. I recommend it, it's beautiful, even an elderly, physically unprepared person can walk, strong decking, handrails. When the "civilized" part of the gorge ends, you need sports closed shoes to go further, then there are also a couple of beautiful places, but in one place to go further, you need 4 points of support, a 3-year-old child had to be carried in his arms. There is a large parking lot next to the cafe. The cafe itself was not very impressed, I'm talking about the taste of food - nothing special, there are tastier places, but the price tag is adequate, but it is beautifully decorated, there are many tables above the water, there is a watermill, a suspension bridge. We stopped at the Olginsky waterfalls before the gorge - also for good reason, I recommend it in this order: first the waterfalls, then the gorge, because it will take more effort to climb the rocks and stairs there and take good photos.
Beautiful waterfalls, streams, mountains, gorge. There Is A Cafe. a natural complex, built with love by a man. But if you go on an excursion, then half a day is spent first in tea, wine, and cheese tastings. I recommend
A place where you want to return, we liked everything so much, the beauty is extraordinary, and you can eat, a great place for a great vacation, the weather was great in September
We visited this wonderful place for the first time. They are perfectly equipped, clean, cozy, you can enjoy delicious national cuisine. We walked comfortably along the mountain river, paths, bridges, gorgeous artificial waterfalls.. The nature is picturesque, you can just sit and listen to the sound of the river, the singing of birds. I really liked it, we will come back more than once!
A very picturesque gorge. The route for inspection is well equipped. There are descents to the fonts, those who wish to swim, the water is icy, but crystal clear. I would like a longer walk. I think that the organizers will continue to develop this place, it is very popular with tourists.
A fantastic place without exaggeration. Take your time. Not everyone likes to go there, as it is beyond Sukhumi. But the place is worth it. The gorge is incredibly beautiful.
But the food there has become not tasty at all lately. But I think this is not a big problem. Beauty will smooth everything out! It's better after lunch, when it's not so hot and there are fewer people!
The place is very beautiful, everything is very well refined, cozy, I put 4 stars, the prices in the cafe are not very cheap, and everything else is great, I recommend
Hello! We had a rest in Abkhazia, rented accommodation at the House of Moscow hotel, this is just an amazing hotel, cleanliness, order. Towels and bed are changed frequently, cleaned daily. The staff is very friendly! If you go to Sukhum, I definitely recommend the "House of Moscow", you will like it!!!
