It is a bit old but at least both domestic and international flights depart from one building. Unlike in Tashkent, which is a nightmare. :) They also sell a variaty of tasty Uzbek bread at the Urgench airport.
Excellent clean, friendly staff, dutiful, the waiting room is fine, but one small drawback is that there are not enough luggage trolleys (I would like to add that a bus on the runway would not hurt, as well as Wi-Fi
In general, there are no complaints. A small airport, one cafe (cappuccino 40,000 soums), a small duty free, one boarding gate, the staff is polite, they work quickly during inspection and control.
A small disadvantage is that they announce the start of boarding once and in not very intelligible Russian. However, by the end of boarding, the passengers who have not appeared are announced, and they also walk around the hall and shout.
The airport is great, and I recommend it to everyone, and I personally went to a shop there in an airport setting to cook very tasty food, quickly and a very pleasant employee)
Honest, comfortable, convenient. Everything went quickly and smoothly. There is a recreation area and a cafe, clean toilets, friendly staff. It's a good airport, I recommend it.
Compact, clean airport, courteous staff. There is a cafe, they work at night (we arrived at the airport at 3:30), they accept som and rubles, you can pay by transfer. There is coffee, samsa, croissants, chocolates. Cappuccino costs 40,000 som (May 2025)
Hello. I flew to Moscow at 20:40 on February 5, 2025, with Aeroflot. I am a group 2 disabled person and I needed an accompanying employee, right to my seat in the cabin of the plane. At the first reception desk (on the left) the employee checked me in, sent me an escort, he took me in a wheelchair separately from the passengers, took me to the plane and sat me down in a chair. I would like to express my gratitude to the attendant and especially to the staff member at the first reception desk, on the left. There was a young guy. Unfortunately, I didn't look at his name tag.
I also want to thank the airport doctor named Salomat, unfortunately I don't know her last name. She is kind, sympathetic and a professional in her field.
Marat M. F. is a disabled person of the 2nd group.
The airport is clean and bright, the staff is friendly, located within the city limits. Of the minuses: there was a flight delay, no announcement, registration was delayed for 2 hours - I found out about the reasons for the delay only by looking at the schedule of the airport from where the plane took off (there is nothing before the preflight inspection and customs, we just stood and waited for two hours. There is a cafe in the boarding lounge, you can drink coffee and buy a magnet. There is a very small dutik, but it was closed (8 am). In short, do not arrive for departure in 2 hours
I don't know who writes that this is a functional airport?! It's an absolutely disgusting place in terms of work organization, with barely living people working at the check-in desks. When passing through the border control, showing the QR-cod during online registration, they spread their hands and did not understand what to do at all, although they may have thought that I was showing them from Covida, which is why they were so horrified. After the border guards, a huge traffic jam awaits for inspection. Going through a pre-flight inspection is generally a circus, 8 people look at one monitor and people walk through one at a time, which again creates a traffic jam, it's probably hard for them to split into 4 people and open 2 inspection lines. And if you smoke, then don't take expensive lighters or gift ones, they will force you to throw them away. (Although it is possible almost everywhere, but here Urgench surprised me). The only thing is that the hall is large and spacious. And in all other respects, the sluggish staff who walks with such an air that without the approval of each of them you will not be able to fly away)) The flight was delayed for an hour at first, but no one said anything about it, the representative of Uzbek Airlines is simply not to be found here. And after 1.5 hours, they said in a hoarse sleepy voice that the flight was postponed for 4 hours. This is such a wonderful airport, but someone must be used to this service, good luck!
It is quite clean, the staff is polite and friendly, the conditions are good, there is a separate place for mom and child, which is clean, fresh and cozy
Hello! It's a nice small comfortable airport, but it's very inconvenient for an evening passenger. It's very dark around the airport. 3 people fell today. Two of us fell into a pit with bags of luggage. There were four of us, we were flying as a family from Moscow. Thank God, my sister didn't fall, she was holding her three-year-old daughter in her arms. Yes, no one was hurt, but we were scared, our hands were scratched and bleeding, and we went to a dirty house. Please highlight the situation so that a similar situation does not happen to other people.
The airport itself is new and clean.
There are practically no shops or souvenirs.
There is no assortment in the only cafe.
But our flight was delayed by almost 10 hours.
During this time, passengers were provided with a glass of water.
I don't know who a cheapskate is - Uzbek Airlines or an airport.
A normal functional airport, everything is very clear on arrival, there are a lot of working booths at passport control. There is no exchanger, but there is an ATM terminal with an exchange function, which is very convenient. The course is the same as in the city (where you still need to look for exchangers).
On departure, everything is more tedious and longer (all procedures). There is no normal WiFi, that is, networks without a password are (allegedly) visible, but to connect to one you need to receive SMS, and they do not seem to come to Russian numbers, it also did not work out what exactly, I will not say now.
Clean, compact. Dutifrey is very small, and there is a cafe. There are no more shops. Everything else is fine, the toilets are decent. All train stations and airports have Wi-Fi
In any case, do not leave the purchase of souvenirs at the last moment and do not rely on duty-free at this airport. The store is open there whenever it wants. In our case, due to the delay of the Ural Airlines flight, it was closed. 3-4 foreign flights depart there per day. So be careful. There is also a cafe with coffee and sandwiches. Overall, it's a nice, fresh airport. Everything is clean and tidy.
A small airport of local importance. Everything is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and ready to help with any questions. Navigation is clear.
The airport is good, I flew there in the summer, I really liked the hospitality, I advise you to visit it it's very beautiful, especially in summer, I'm just shocked by such beauty
It's fast, affordable, and the service is not very good, but the staff and staff are polite and accurate. They even sell tortillas at the entrance. Good job, all the best
A small airport, there is enough Wi-fi to call a taxi via Yandex. The currency exchange in the form of a vending machine works fine, the exchange rate is not very natural. Everyone is friendly, especially the customs))
The airport is small. But there were no problems. The staff is quick to respond to help, polite and sociable. The flight was safe. I am completely satisfied with everything.
Polite staff, the waiting room is clean and cozy) the shelf with books that you can borrow to read while waiting for the flight was pleasantly surprised
A clean and beautiful airport, just after reconstruction, beauty, at the exit without any problems, exchange for local currency (it's better to change the dollar) snacks and cafes, clean toilets
In general, the airport is not bad, it is designed for small passenger traffic, passengers walk to and from the plane when the currency exchange office is not working, it is possible to exchange cash for bags through an ATM. One of the disadvantages is that the Duty-Free shop did not work during the return flight, but I wanted to visit it.
The staff works with attention to everything, but there is not enough speed. They work slowly and constantly walk with serious faces, as if they are forbidden to smile. They are not always so kind and friendly. The airport area is always clean and tidy. There is a bar in the waiting room (boutique or cafe, whichever is convenient to call it) But, the choice is small.
The only plus is a lot of seating and the seats are quite comfortable in the waiting room for international flights. The toilet (I can only say about the men's one) has only 2 seats and is dirty. The hall itself is clean. There is a vending machine for drinks. The tax free is filled with strong alcohol and almost everything. Russian rubles and cards are not "playing". You can drink tea and coffee. There are no souvenirs. There are no Uzbek sweets. They walked out of the building to the plane. Such a provincial international.
The staff is very friendly, there are information banners and signs everywhere where you can go, there is a DutyFree, Cafe, Phone charging stations in the waiting room, in general everything is as it should be
A well-maintained airport. The staff is adequate and willing to help the client. There were no problems with flights. Everything you need inside is sold in stores.
On 5.01.25, at 8:30 a.m., there was a flight from Urgench to Tashkent
Without any warnings, the flight was delayed indefinitely. Nothing was said about it until 9 a.m. At first they said until 11 o'clock. We took the number of the information department and went home. We're calling at 10:30 a.m. They said registration started at 11:00 a.m. It's leaving
We run, we arrive they say 12:30 , then we wait for 13:30 they say
Especially the children were so exhausted. Although the weather was flying, Urgench did not accept planes
