A wonderful resort town on the shores of the Aegean Sea. Pilgrims and tourists get through this city by ferry to the Athos Peninsula. The sea is beautiful in September, but there are a lot of sea urchins outside the beaches, it's better not to touch the bottom! Or in flippers, or in slippers, or floundering with your legs. It was a pity there was no mask, but the goals were more lofty, a dream came true to get to the legendary Athos.

I arrived in the evening, December.. There were kind people, they rent rooms, right across the street from the Athos representative office, 30 euros per night. In the morning I boarded the ferry and looked at Uranopolis from the sea. It's a beautiful village.. It is very picturesque, apparently in summer you can have a great rest here. And so, the sea gate of Mount Athos. In addition to the ferry, there are 3-4 small boats.
