We went to the production of Carmine Burana Orff. That's great! A completely new reading of the great work. The building itself is an architectural monument very carefully and competently renovated and worth a separate visit.

I managed to visit it before the "protracted restoration", in 2016) I really liked it! A luxurious interior and a wonderful opera. When I visit Budapest, I stay in a hotel nearby, so I walk past this beautiful building all the time) We are waiting for the opening!

Repairs and restorations take a very long time.
In 2018, they promised to open in 2019, but in 2019 they apologized and said that they would open only in 2020.
2020 is coming soon, and the information on the theater's website is "0". Tickets for the beginning of 2020 are being sold to the reserve venue of the Budapest Opera House -> Erkel Concert Hall.
We were there and we didn't really like it. Therefore, "3".
We hope to get to the main stage after all.
