A very beautiful and pretentious place. You can go outside, if you find a table, you can go inside, there are real labyrinths of halls, very interesting and beautifully decorated with wood with characteristic Armenian patterns. Locals like to come here. Khinkali is delicious! But everything is not cheap.
Perfect!!!! A restaurant with a name that is worth visiting! And don't think that this is some kind of hincal! Of course, the khinkali is on top, but there is such an assortment of dishes ... Such a menu that you will have to come back to try again)))) The waiters and the metrodotel are all smart. Professionals, good people and excellent management work here-that's all! The interior is classic, no frills, tasteful (and how else in Yerevan). It is better to book in advance.
The only drawback is a shared toilet for men and women and only two booths-it's inconvenient.
A place to return to.
We do not really share the laudatory reviews for this place.
We came on Sunday evening with a friend, we wanted to have a quick snack of khinkali and drink wine.
It didn't work out quickly. Drinks return ~ 10 minutes (2 glasses of wine ???). There's something strange about the food. We ordered 4 khinkali each (2 boiled, 2 fried)
After 40 minutes, they brought a plate with 2 khinkali, which did not resemble our order in composition. After a couple of minutes, 2 more. All boiled. We spent a couple of minutes sorting out with the waiter where what we ordered was. 2 more boiled ones were brought in 15 minutes, and the fried ones reached us an hour after the order. Cold
As for the taste qualities. Only wine (pomegranate) is delicious. The Khinkali themselves are terrified. Shape, taste. The cheese is not salty, but the rest with too much salt and spices
As a compliment, they gave breadcrumbs and chickpeas at the beginning, as well as everything salted
We do not recommend visiting
Very tasty, khinkali with various fillings (cheese, chicken, beef, lamb), fried, boiled, as well as other dishes of Armenian cuisine! Everything that we tried, we liked it very much! A special song for pomegranate wine! 🍷 This is something unearthly! It's so delicious, I've never drunk anywhere! Be sure to try it here (homemade pomegranate wine)!
2 stars for the beautiful interior. The waiter came up with the words "what did you choose?", commented on our choice "it's not tasty at all", "this lemonade is very sour." They asked him the composition of the salad - the answer is "don't take it, since you don't know." They blamed it on the fact that they spoke Russian, not their native language and all that.
The food is without enthusiasm, at the level of a provincial cafe. The crust of khachapuri is over-dried, or it has been warmed up more than once. Khinkali with cheese are cherished, apparently they were already ready. Chicken is normal.
We won't come a second time.
The waiter also talked to all the guests, and everyone was in a little shock - we watched it later
It's quite a great place, the atmosphere exceeds expectations. I advise everyone who is in Yerevan for the first time or has not been to this place yet to visit and understand how delicious khinkali really is there.
Very tasty khinkali! I definitely recommend it if you like to eat delicious food. The pleasant prices and the atmosphere of the place were a good addition to the food.
I visited this place 2 times. I'm not coming back anymore. 1 star for delicious khinkali. The service is very poor. Even for a diner, neither hostesses nor waiters are good for anything. A hostess is always a little pleasant aggressive girl, without knowledge of the rules of ethics. The waiters are imposing men, walking around the hall without doing anything. We were alone and the waiter was walking around the room and looking at himself in the mirror, constantly clicking.
It is very uncomfortable to be there. We will never come back.
Mediocre service, mediocre Khinkali (little meat!) ...
Nearby there are establishments with better cuisine!
Of the advantages, the interior is beautiful, authentic, well-designed.
For a good and quick snack, I do not recommend eating here because the service is not very good, the food is sugary in general, the atmosphere here is bad, there is a lot of smoke in the room, the meat food there is very tough and very expensive for its unambiguous price
We saw rave reviews and came to dinner, a quick pleasant dinner turned into unpleasant impressions about the trip. First, you had to wait 20 minutes for one of the waiters to deign to come to the hall, which stinks of cigarettes, and then wait another 5 minutes for him to write down the order, since it did not work out the first time, but the cherry on the cake was that after another 15 minutes the waiter returned and said that he had lost the order and we have to repeat it, then he laughed merrily. In total, it took more than an hour to wait for the first light (tasteless) snacks and a bottle of water. If you value your time, don't come to this place
Why is it called khinkalnaya and refers to fast food on the maps?!?!! This is a great restaurant! Very luxurious atmosphere, large menu, waiters with the manners of generals))) at the same time, it is very tasty and not expensive at all! The coolest place!
A place with ingenious khinkali and huge portions. The prices are very affordable for a Russian wallet. We will definitely come back when we are in Yerevan

We recently visited the restaurant with a large company and were very impressed! The atmosphere of the place is very cozy, the service is at a high level, the waiters have an excellent sense of humor. Khinkali here is simply amazing — juicy, fragrant, with a delicate dough and delicious filling. Meals are served quickly and hot. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great evening.
Many people recommended this place as a place with delicious khinkali, but somehow we were unlucky. We went in the morning for breakfast, which turns into lunch. We took various omelets, they were cool, but the khinkali turned out to be too salty and, frankly, I will name at least two places in Yerevan where I liked the khinkali much more.
Divine! Very tasty. I will definitely come to you every time I come to Armenia... Thanks a lot. I advise everyone to try hashlama from lamb tails. Mmmm how delicious it is
A very interesting restaurant! The decor is an apartment from the beginning of the 20th century, real antique furniture, Dutch ovens are working, and in summer you can sit on the patio! The staff is very attentive. Delicious and juicy chicken fillet kebab, French fries with sauce is very special! A good selection of drinks.
I really liked it, they suggested what a delicious wine, and what goes with fish, the service is at the highest level, from the moment we entered the restaurant
We saw a place in one of the collections of good places in Yerevan. In fact, the only good thing was mint tea. They did not take the order for a long time, first they brought dessert, the famous Khinkali waited for more than 40 minutes, which fell apart. The service is poor: arrogant waiters.
Honestly , I didn 't like it . Firstly, the waiters changed for unknown reasons . This did not concern our table specifically , but everyone was served in this way by different waiters . As a result , there was confusion with orders , khinkali for three , dishes were brought , it is not clear how in time . I left a tip, but I was very sorry, they were not worthy!
The most delicious khinkali!!! This is a fact. I ate in Georgia, and I ate in Yerevan, in this institution, Georgian Khinkali nervously smoke on the sidelines. Tumanyan has a very thin dough, silk textures, and the meat is the most delicate. I definitely recommend it. And also try the liver steak.
The most delicious khinkali in Yerevan, I also recommend the salad with eggplant and, of course, dolma. Prices are slightly above average but fully meets expectations.
There are no special requirements for food, ordinary khinkali, it is quite tasty.
They automatically credited 10% of the tip to the check. Bags of frozen meat, dough rolled out for khinkali and a generally uncomfortable place were regularly carried around the hall inside
Khinkali is simply divine! The atmosphere and service are at the highest level. Everything is very tasty and unusual, khinkali with different flavors. There is with cheese, with mushrooms, with different types of meat.
The restaurant is designed in the style of Soviet classics. The service is fast, khinkali is delicious, but I have never come across tasteless khinkali in Yerevan))). I recommend it for exploring the national cuisine!
Khinkali in Armenia? Of course, yes! Locals say that their khinkali tastes better than in Georgia. In this institution, you can verify this. Very tasty!
I love khinkali with tomato sauce in this place and summer salad (large portion, top vegetables)
It's a little dark for me, but there are cozy balconies. The staff is not in a hurry.
I went here twice, I liked everything, but the third time it was very sad. The waiter who was serving the wine looked at me very maliciously (predatory). I did not drink wine, I was afraid that they had poisoned me.
There were high expectations from this place, but in the end the menu did not seem diverse, the price was overestimated in comparison with neighboring establishments, in the end they took only a salad of eggplant and walnuts for 2400 drams - too much mayonnaise. Otherwise, there are no complaints, chickpeas and crackers are provided free of charge, 10 percent of the service fee is included in the bill, as everywhere in Yerevan
Delicious khinkali, especially when compared with similar establishments, the dough is not thick, the taste is balanced, spices and herbs in moderation. Well, in general, a delicious place, not only Khinkali…
One of my favorite restaurants in Yerevan. I have been there more than 20 times and always excellent service, fast and tasty enough. Of course, you need to order khinkali there
God! How delicious it is here! And khinkali are thin, juicy. I've never tasted them anywhere except this place. The staff is helpful, helpful, well versed in the menu and will always help
Visited the restaurant on Sunday. At 13:00 there were still seats, I sat down at a single table on the veranda, another company was sitting next to me at three tables (as it turned out later, one table was from "my" pair).
I ordered soup, 2 fried khinkali with meat, 2 fried with cheese, water (I thought I'd order something else later if there wasn't enough). The water was brought immediately, the soup - after 20 minutes. While the soup was being prepared, they brought a snack "as a gift" (chickpeas and crackers). I ate the soup, I'm waiting for khinkali. 50 minutes have passed since the order, khinkali is still not there. During this time, the people who came after me have already brought khinkali. I was offered to move to the second floor, to the balcony (by this time I was already sitting at two tables, because the company at three tables had left and one table was returned to me). OK, no problem, I'll move (there are no other single tables left, and companies of 3-4 people have already begun to approach).
I moved, I'm waiting for khinkali, I'm waiting for water, which they promised to transfer from the old place to the new one (initially, I wanted to transfer myself, but they told me they would bring it). After 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to remind myself (the door to the balcony is closed, and they probably forgot about me). I enter the hall on the second floor, a waiter with a tray meets me. There were 2 boiled khinkali on the tray. He asked me to bring me what I ordered (fried). After about 5 minutes, I finally got water and khinkali. In total, it took an hour and a half to wait for khinkali.
About food:
- soup (solyanka) is not bad, but nothing special, it seems not thick enough. Rating 4.
- fried khinkali with meat - you can put 5, but they are too small.
- fried khinkali with cheese is bad, score 2: it's not clear what's inside, it looks more like some kind of liquid cottage cheese, which is very little. Again, the size is small.
For service - solid 2.
The interior of the veranda and premises is good. Balconies - very much for an amateur (a small balcony, a table for 2-3 people). If you want to be more or less alone, then OK.
The final score is 2. I decided not to order anything extra. because the mood was already spoiled. I paid and went to another place.
I'm unlikely to come back here and I won't advise anyone to visit this restaurant either.
the kitchen is very tasty, the Khinkali is divine, but the service is lame, no one can approach you for a very long time, you will sit with dirty plates and wait until at least someone deigns to approach you and this is with incomplete workload, the waiters just stand chatting and do not pay attention to you! I was very upset by this moment, but everything is delicious, thank you
For the first time in Yerevan and visited this place. The restaurant itself is without windows and doors and is located in the basement. The second (distant) hall is incredibly stuffy. The serving of dishes is beautiful, this is where all the advantages end.
The food itself is average. The cat didn't cry enough toppings in khinkali. The sorrel salad turned out to be very salty, and the kebab was dry. The most delicious was tea and fresh herbs. Homemade lemonade for the child was not available.
Dirty dishes are not officially removed from the table, you have to put them on the edge of the table. A tip of 20 percent was included in our bill, and for some reason the waiter took the bill away with dirty dishes at the end of our meal.
When we visit Yerevan, we always visit Khinkali. We really liked the fried khinkali with meat, beyond praise. And of course the local lemonade, we tried different and delicious!
