Tumanyan's Art Café is one of the best places in Yerevan where you can taste authentic national cuisine of Artsakh. Their signature Zhengyalov Khats (traditional flatbread with herbs) is simply excellent — perhaps the best in the city (and the richest in herbs), and costs only about $2.5 (1000 drams). It's not a luxurious establishment, but it has a cozy, homely atmosphere and a pleasant local flavor. The cafe is located slightly away from the main tourist routes, next to the metro station, on a shady boulevard between Republic Square and Cascade, but it is easy to get here, and it definitely deserves attention. If there are no events in the establishment, it is very quiet here, and separate transparent "houses" allow you to retire.

What a beautiful and soulful place! I'm impressed! What makes it so special?
First of all, the quality of food and service is excellent! We also tried 4 types of wines and all were very tasty. The flatbread with greens was the most delicious in my life, and I am Armenian.
Secondly, this restaurant is part of a charity foundation to support children with disabilities. The entire profit of the restaurant goes to the fund.
Thirdly, in addition to supporting children, they organize trainings for refugee women, help them learn new skills and start a small business. You can also buy items made by these women there. 20% of the sales go to the children's support fund.
I highly recommend visiting this place at least once. I'm sure you'll want to come back here. I also recommend sharing information about the restaurant so that as many people as possible can learn from it. If you are a tourist, coming here you will feel like a guest in a real Armenian house, where the food is prepared with love and care. If you are a local, I am sure that you will discover your new favorite place and make new friends.

I was in this small and cozy cafe.Quiet, non-intrusive music and a pleasant atmosphere.The hosts are very nice people, they even looked after our child while we ate.And the food is beyond praise.We took hasheel and kurkut, although kurkut must be ordered in advance or come on Sunday.I also took carbonara, I really liked it.We also took khachapuri and pickles .In general, as they say nowadays, like this envy😜😜😜

Great restaurant)). And the kitchen is good, I especially recommend Zheng khats (Bread with herbs) and Terteruk).
But, besides, it is not just a good restaurant and good cuisine, but a cozy and sincere place, which is such because of the staff who are from Artsakh (as a result of the recent tragic events).
And the Artsakh mentality is characterized by such a feature as the most empathetic, kindred attitude towards each person).

Wonderful cuisine, helpful staff and a very pleasant atmosphere, considering all the noise of kentron. And yes, the zheng is delicious here. Probably, only the people of Artsakh really do this.

I will duplicate the review left in Google maps. We were walking with my wife, I wanted to relax, drink light drinks. We went in. My wife chose wine, and I took a local beer for myself. The drinks were served with sliced Armenian cheeses. It feels like heaven! Very sincere, the waitress girls are just like angels, friendly and smiling. I don't even know how it happened, we went to a cafe on the way, but it seemed like we were looking for this place. Yerevan is a beautiful city, and this place will leave us with the warmest memories of it. I highly recommend it.
