A nice place, a very beautiful location for photography, a wonderful view of the sea and the city! Of the cons: there is not much to see (a library and one hall), so I do not recommend it as a museum.
A holy place. He touched the hand of John the Baptist. The impression cannot be described. One of the iconic places in Montenegro. I recommend that all believers visit.
I came twice during the week, just for the service, a beautiful and peaceful place, after the liturgy I walked for 2 hours. There are not enough diagrams and pointers for tourists, but I really liked it.
One of the few common Christian shrines. It is very popular among pilgrims. You can climb higher by car than by bus, leave it in a large free parking lot and walk up to Vasily Ostrogsky. This way from the parking lot will take about 15 minutes. On weekends and holidays, be prepared for queues.
A good monastery shop, and after going down, turn onto the new road to Podgorica and there will be a shop selling Raki on the right. It is necessary to take a lot. You won't find this anywhere else.
A holy place! We always visit it when we come to Montenegro! The right hand of the saint always helps all believers and those who ask for help in the holy place!
A very blessed Monastery!! The holy place.., there were only three of us - on a very rainy day.., they opened the Chapel and gave us to kiss the hand - the right hand-of John the Baptist!! God bless everyone
The place is nice, I want to come here again, which we do with the whole family. Google the details. Yes, there is also a church shop in the monastery, a lot of interesting things
How difficult it is to evaluate such places. I started writing and realized that it was very personal. How can one evaluate the opportunity to venerate the right hand of John the Baptist, the Cross of Calvary, participate in divine services, sing the Easter troparion with the brethren of the Temple (it was on the day of Easter giving).
The monastery was founded in 1484 by Ivan Chernoevich, a famous Serbian monarch. Among others, a relic is kept here - the right hand of John the Baptist. I was here on a rainy June day as part of a tour group. I liked the peace and the atmosphere of humility. One of the monks in the monastery, they say, was Russian.
Nicely. But there's not much to see there. Only a little bit is allowed inside

It's a very atmospheric place. The monastery houses the relics of St. Peter 1 of Cetinje and the right hand of John the Baptist. We have been visiting this place while in Montenegro for 8 years. Peace, grace and harmony - Cetinje Monastery!

The energy from the relics is very strong! I even felt dizzy... For the first time in my life, I felt such a powerful surge of strength, thank God🙏
A beautiful, such a bright and blessed monastery! It houses great shrines - a particle of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, the right hand of John the Baptist and the relics of the locally venerated St. Peter.
The place itself is simply fabulous and unforgettable. A monastery in the mountains, in the touching town of Cetinje, where so many lime trees and fir trees grow that it is easy to breathe at once...
08/10/18 I was with my son at the monastery (Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Cetinje), venerated relics: the right hand of John the Baptist, the particles of the Cross of Golgotha, on which Jesus Christ was crucified, the relics of St. Peter of Cetinje - one of the most revered saints of Montenegro. He was the metropolitan and ruler of Montenegro and defended the independence and freedom of the country from the Ottoman Empire. It is on his relics that the Shrines are kept. An unexpected and realized Gift from the Lord to me and my son only after almost a month! Glory to You, our God, Glory to You!
From the outside, the architecture of the monostyr is impressive. The monostyr is photogenic. But inside the territory is closed, there is access to a small room where the relics of Peter 1 of Cetinje are kept. It is forbidden to take photos on the territory. I recommend going on an excursion only to Orthodox pilgrims who are deeply religious and with a good guide. You can just take a look at the monostyr after spending 15 minutes passing through.
