They baptized their son there . I really liked Father Mikhail in relation to parents and children . It is cozy and spacious inside. Movie nights are held in the evenings. You can buy coffee and a fresh croissant for the price you want.the money goes to the donation (construction of the temple )

A very cozy and pleasant temple, located on the shore of the Chizhovsky reservoir and not far from the park. The territory is well maintained, there is a coffee shop on the territory, but unfortunately I have never visited. I always feel comfortable visiting this temple, I feel inner personal comfort. And if I'm not mistaken, there is a piece of Matronushka's relics in this temple.

A picturesque place. A beautiful temple on the shore of the reservoir. There is a modern cafe parish. A church in honor of St. George the Victorious is being built near the parish. Needs help, financial and physical, to speed up the construction process.

To begin with, most likely the Minsk Icon of the Mother of God does not exist. This is an icon, although miraculous, but presented by Tsarina Elena (daughter of John III and Sofia Palaiologos) to the city of Minsk, and not miraculously appeared on the river. For the first mention of the appearance of the Minsk Icon of the Mother of God on the Svisloch River is found in Roman Catholic sources ~ 170 years after the icon "appeared" on Svisloch, after the forcible seizure of the miraculous icon by the Uniates from the Orthodox. Is it possible to trust the Uniates, who squeezed churches and shrines from the Orthodox? Obviously not. Probably, in order to attract more followers ("the end justifies the means"), the Uniates came up with a legend about the appearance of the icon on the river. And to cover their tracks, they rewrote it, adding a scepter to the Mother of God, and a power to the Blessed Virgin. If the icon was miraculously revealed in Svisloch and God wanted to glorify it in this form, what was the point of redoing it?
The parish is spiritually unhealthy. When I visited this temple, the rector for years almost did not refer to Holy Scripture in his sermons, with the exception of the quote "the devil walks like a lion, looking for someone to devour," attributing it to ap. To Pavel. The quote belongs to the ap. Peter. From this it can be concluded that for at least several years the abbot did not read the apostolic epistles. The quality of the sermons was usually at a low level, and I wanted to fall asleep from the endless "listening". The rector's knowledge of the Russian language, born in the village, left much to be desired. The expression "to adjust efforts" was constantly jarring. The abbot did not know the difference between a nun and a nun and believed that rosaries were a monastic attribute and laypeople should not wear them.
He said to clean up the rosary, but the fact that choristers in skirts above the knees walk in the choir did not bother him, and perhaps even liked it, because once in a sermon he said that "the length of skirts does not matter." It got to the point that three singers were wearing short skirts at the same time, which tempted the male sex.
On the roof of the temple, where the bell tower is located, garbage has not been cleaned for years. The choir was not heated, which is why the regent acquired chronic laryngitis. At the request of a regular parishioner to buy those flowers that do not cause her allergies and dizziness, it was said - find more those who are not satisfied with the flowers and then we will change them. Well, in general, frostbite / score / laugh - this was the standard reaction of the abbot to an adequate request.
When I first came to this temple, there were no icons of the Minsk Mother of God in the church kiosk.
The priests were often late and the evening service did not begin from the 9th hour, but from Vespers. At the morning service, the lateness of the boys was also not uncommon.
Etc. etc. You can write about all the problems of this parish for a long time.
Among the advantages: the services are long, almost without abbreviations; a beautiful view of the reservoir.

The temple is located in a very picturesque and beautiful place, on the shore of the Chizhovsky reservoir. Next to the park area. The territory of the temple is green and well-groomed, with places for a recreation area and the opportunity to chat after the Liturgy and drink tea or coffee. There is also a Sunday school and a youth club. The church in honor of the Minsk Icon of the Mother of God is very cozy and beautiful. When you're there, you don't want to leave... some kind of special atmosphere, homely and cozy.. attuned to prayer . Wonderful priests and friendly staff of the temple. This is a place where you feel at home!

grandmother had inside the room. I came with my great grief, prayed, lit a candle from a small lamp and put it on a candlestick. My grandmother began to scold me that I had set fire to the lamp, saying that such people walked and sinned. I came out of the church in tears, how can the ministers of the church be so evil, how can they be like that? The first time after going to church, I feel worse than before....
