A monastery with a rich history! It's very quiet inside. I was pleased with the very sincere performance of services by Father Theodoret, who is the abbot of the monastery. In general, it is very warm and cozy!
This is a church attached to a monastery, monks serve, but the choir is not monastic at all. The Apostle is read in Russian, not Slavonic. Confession only happens on weekdays. But on holidays and Sundays there is no confession, they give communion to everyone without question, which smacks of modernism. Warmth (drinking) is not given after Communion.
I always go to visit fr. Feodorito. In a difficult moment, it was only here that they helped. I really liked the monastery, it is very beautiful both inside and outside. The monks are very good, kind, funny, sooo smart and well-read. How beautifully they sing in the choir, especially on holidays. And it's not long to get there, an hour's drive and a couple of minutes on foot. I advise everyone to visit, especially on holidays.
It is very beautiful, a place filled with energy.
It's so peaceful on weekdays, you can be alone with yourself and God.
The church shop in general deserves special admiration.
You can find everything, ask the clergy all the questions you are interested in.
A wonderful place!!!!!
I go there for epiphany and Easter, etc., there's a church shop in the courtyard, there are beautiful icons, crosses, a lot of different things, in general, everything you need!
A great Temple ! The sermons are very good and informative . The services are very good and you feel comfortable at home. A beautiful Temple, you really feel that the Lord God hears you and the Most Holy Lady Theotokos helps us in our petitions! May The Lord God Protect Us. Amen.
Everything is located on the territory of the monastery, the atmosphere disposes to great love for God. When visiting, it finds such a divine thing that it is impossible to say in words, I have not experienced such comfort anywhere
The main temple of the monastery is St. Nicholas, which was founded back in 1904 at the expense of railway workers. The monastery was founded not so long ago in 1994. It is constantly being equipped and becoming more and more beautiful. This is the most salted place in the city of Gomel. There has always been a church here in all the most difficult times (many churches have been converted into planetariums, schools and even stables). Thank God that he kept this holy place clean. There are 8 monks and 1 novice serving in the monastery. Each service truly inspires people to good thoughts and deeds, opens the eyes of those who have lost faith. Everything here is imbued with sincerity, and not affectation, which unfortunately is now present in some temples. They honor traditions here, and not just present everything in modern jargon. God bless you.
I was in the house church, a lot of icons and ancient artifacts, the tour was conducted for about an hour, I was satisfied. Interesting , beautiful and of great value .
St. Nicholas Monastery is one of the sights of Gomel.
The territory is beautiful and well maintained.
The Gomel diocesan administration building is located on the territory of the monastery, which, after renovation, became one of the most beautiful in Belarus (inside).
Very well maintained territory, they are building something all the time, tinting it) Lots of flowers, beautiful all year round. Good, sincere people work.
There was an urgent need for a conversation with the priest. There was no way to come. And they didn't give me a number. They left me alone with my trouble. Elena Silivonchik stepped over my request, passed by my trouble.
And the place itself is nice, warm, cozy and hospitable!! Priests and monks will never refuse to help.... Thank them for that!
